do i need to register my ibook at all for warranty purposes or anything like that.. i did not purchase applecare.

Hi Congrats...
I have the same computer as you and is GREAT

I had the same questions that you had, and I answered myself by just playing with the computer (and I still do LOL)

And also reading everything at apple.com on the guides, and the guides here in MR so DO IT!!! Don’t be lazy, reading is gooooood…

BTW when you first turned on you iBook you must have had to fill up some “forms” with your personal info… if you were connected to the internet while doing that… you should be already registered… I know because when I bought mine, I turned on at the apple store and the seller helped me to put up my settings.. and she said once you finish with your personal info and stuff your computer will be automatically registered cause you’re connected to the internet now…

And if you were not connected then go to apple.com and get registered…

And keep this in your mind THIS IS APPLE it was MADE to be EASY USE and it is EASY to USE!!!! :D

That “think different” slogan is not just a plain slogan it is true!!! Don’t think like windows… try to uninstall windows concepts from your head (it is hard I know) and start thinking different and being different…. One example is the maximizing windows, in Apple you don’t need to (unless you want to or your half blind lol) try to learn how to work and manage yourself with several windows and app running at the same time… (a thing that is virtually impossible in windoze) :p

Good Luck and ENJOY:D
