Alternative keyboard message popping up every time

So, first of all I'd like to point out that - yes, I'm fully aware that running a beta comes with a few compromises, and I accept that of course. Just saying to those who are gonna blame me for 'complaining' while running a beta.

Anyway. So, yesterday I decided to reset the settings on my iPhone to make it feel a bit more 'clean' (and it has helped a bit so far by the way). But then I stumbled across a little issue. Every time I switch to another keyboard now, I see this:

And yes, it's pretty annoying. There's some sort of workaround: if I tap and hold the world icon and choose another keyboard from the list, the message won't show up. But I got used to simply just tapping that icon. Which now results in this message popping up every single time.

My question: is there a fix for this?

Same here on my iPhone 7 with fresh install of B3.

My new iPP 10.5 had the same issue but after a restart it was gone.

With my iPhone 7 i just downgraded to 10.3.2 because of that bug

Any ideas?

I’ve tried rebooting, reset all settings, and a hard reset. Doesn’t seem to keep it hidden... it’s annoying lol.

Looks like I won’t be using emojis for a bit.

Upgraded my iPad over OTA... friend of mine updated his iPhone 7 Plus also over OTA... I think this could solve the problem...

Anyone else has upgraded over OTA without this issue ?

I updated OTA from Beta 2 to 3 and it was working fine, but then I did a “Reset All Settings” in hopes to cure some more smaller bugs and that’s when it started happening.

It won’t allow me to swipe left to delete the “english Keyboard” and just keep the Emoji. I can delete the Emoji keyboard but not the other one... suggestions? Thanks

If you just had the emoji keyboard typing your message here would have been difficult. You can install a 3rd party keyboard like SwiftKey which has emoji (and, you know, actual letters) built in. Once you do, delete all other keyboards

Thanks for the suggestion! Maybe I’ll check out Swiftkey until the next Beta with a hopeful fix.

Hmm it worked for me though I only have one keyboard installed , swiftkey, and use the emoji support it provides not the apple emoji

Unfortunately swiftkey is fairly unstable on the Beta 3 release... causes a stutter step and timeout when typing.

Not having any stutters with Swiftkey on my iPhone 7 with iOS 11 beta 3 as well. Works just fine.

Bollocks to iOS11, I want it fixed in time for the next beta.
