100% agreed :)

What are you talking about?
Lossless audio is where its at.
If you cant tell the difference, then you have inferior equipment.
You are the 1st person Ive ever heard in any forum say that lossless is only here as a marketing tool.
Blurays with lossless audio are THE REASON to buy bluray over dvd.

Stop it with your lies. Nobody is being convinced by the crap you spew, youre only making yourself look like even more of a fool than you did earlier in this thread.

That's what happens when you manufacture your own equipment in your basement using crazy logic. MacUser2007 is a lost cause.

Arguing with ignorant/stupid/religious people is stupid in itself, but I'll give it one more try.

In double-blind tests, in lab conditions, both Dolby Digital at 448kbps and DTS at 1500kbps are found to be perceptually transparent to the masters (the original, uncompressed recordings).

This means that test subjects could not reliably tell a difference between the compressed track and the original uncompressed master.

Here is a link to one such test (look specifically on page 21):

http://tech.ebu.ch/docs/tech/tech3324.pdf

Mind you, these double-blind tests are done in controlled conditions, which are much, much cleaner sonically than the average home theater room, where ambient noise would make it even harder to hear any differences.

These are the facts.

Of course, facts have never stopped people claiming all sorts of stuff, such as "id rather take 720p all the time & have HD audio, than have 1080p & dolby digital/dts," which is what prompted me to respond in the first place.

Cheers.

How noble:rolleyes: Cut the crap you self-reithgous fool. Your self-proclamation of exquisite grandeur is slightly disgusting and irrelevant on an internet forum. You're a petulant insignificant biological entity spewing toxic malarky that no one wishes to inhale.

As for your article, great, you found 1 study supporting your crackpot belief. Do you have any idea how many articles, studies, blogs, forums, individuals, and reviews I can find supporting my conclusion? Move along.

I would take 720p to have lossless audio streamed thru my Apple TV faster than the blink of an eye :)

Dont feed the troll.
We are right, she is wrong.
