This isn't anything new or special. ever since the iPhone 4 came out these type of cases were made but were never, ever, successful. Such a niche item..

Agreed... the first company that came out with these type of case is Karaskustoms. They still have it for ip5 and ip4..

The materials & machining can't be more than $15 and w/out any R&D costs, $100 seems high! Please do not try to convince me that extensive R&D was done and this was the outcome!

I bought one of their cases for iPhone 4 when it was released. Only issue with that case was that the threaded struts where made from plastic.

This case is not for mass markets hence the price.
Your phone costs almost 1000$ and this 100$ case seems high for you? Right.

Dude, just admit you're the case maker. Just joined the forum? Only one thread, advertising this case? Suspiciously high-quality low-DOF product shots in said post? User name suspiciously similar to maker's name? Looks pretty conclusive to me.

You commenters just love your conspiracy theories.
If you just would do some background work. You would find that he has made cases for few years and this case was available in the end of last year.
Why didn't I make profile back then and post about the cases he made?
Because back then I didn't buy one. I didn't even know about his cases and that is why I now made a profile to post about this case. To let those to see it who haven't yet seen it.

I must thank you for the compliment about the photos. I actually took those photos and I'm surprised that you find them "high-quality".

Names are close, but that's about it.

Comments here are fun to read.. Lol.. And who in the right mind would ever buy that frame for their iPhone?

No. Just because my name is close to his does not automatically mean I am him.
I posted about this case because I wanted to inform people about it.
The case will take the damage from the drop and not the phone. Use common sense.

When it's dropped yes the case will take damage. Then the metal of the case will transfer the impact to the phone

Am I the one without common sense? If you were standing in a metal cage and then you were dropped 10m you will survive the fall but the metal cage will damage you more surely

The phone is not loosely in the case.

Lol this is the best thread ever

To avoid this threads' unfortunate content, the title should have been, "if you'd like to put your iPhone in a metal cage case, click here, otherwise please ignore."

I love it!

It's not for me, but it's definitely something that would stand out in a crowd and is different.

One of its admirable features is that of a theft deterrent. You could leave it on the counter at Starbucks and then return the next day and it'll be laying where it was.

A Big Mac cost $4 and I still think $100 is too much for this case.

this case is uglier than even that radius case. people arent hating here man, its a really ugly, unpractical case. theres ALOT of other cases out there that will protect your phone from drops that dont make your phone/you look stupid
