I always go back to it as well. I have a Tech 21 case as well, which I use for the "tougher" situations. However, my everyday case is the Apple Case.

I got a good deal on an Otterbox Symmetry case.
Got a black leather apple case a couple of days later (free).

The apple case as been on about 5 to 10 mins back in October.

The Symmetry is hands down better than the :apple: case to me.

YMMV

I really want the leather case but I can't bring myself to think it's okay to spend $55 CAD on a case. Someone please convince me otherwise!!!

Gotta jump into this Apple leather case love fest too, I guess. I've been using it since I first put it on my "5"...used it on my "5s", and bought it way before the "6" even dropped because I knew it was the only case for me. I love the way it feels, and that it gets softer & more "grippy" with use. I've tried the Incase, Incipio & Otterbox Commuter cases, and nothing comes close to the overall package.

Only a few flaws...

1. Cost (you'll never find it "on sale" anywhere)
2. Any color but black shows stains almost immediately
3. Can't be used with any current total screen coverage glass screen protectors

I'll agree (on the 5/5s version) - that started to restore my faith in Apple's ability to make a decent first-party case. It did seem that the thin strip around the headphone jack was susceptible to damage if you weren't careful, but otherwise it felt good and looked great. When it came time to get the 6, I was planning on a leather case, but decided to try the silicone one and was very happy - it did wear in the corner and Apple replaced it without hassle (which is very nice, considering some case manufacturer policies). I may still get a leather one eventually.

For what it's worth (and really not to nitpick, I swear!), I got the one for my 5 at Target when they stopped carrying those and were unloading them - I think it was something like $20, but varied in price and availability store-by-store.

Will a back skin such as "best skins ever" that cover the back and sides and bottom work and fit properly with a apple leather case?

I have both full coverage and case friendly versions and would like to know as well prior to installing. Don't want to applying it knowing it will peel right off when installing a case.

i hated the small lightning cut-out on the 5s case... I find the bottom-open design of the 6 case perfect. It plays nicely with 3rd party cables and docks, and has kept my iPhone 6 pristine despite multiple drops.

I felt the same way until I got this case. Simply amazing.

Pricy but the leather is incredible.

Yes please post pics! Hard to tell on the site but is there top and bottom protection?

The main benefit of the Apple case is that it doesn't add too much bulk to the size of the 6 Plus. Also some colour combinations do look great.

That being said, I'm not a fan. I have a red leather case which just felt gross out of the box, I'd constantly want to wash my hands after using it. Now its starting to get marked up and there appears to be no way to properly clean it.

Considering just getting a good quality sleeve for pocketsand using the phone itself careless.

Insurance and AppleCare+ will cover any tragedies

I find it hard to score a good copy of the black leather case. For $50.00, it should be free of nicks, scratches, waves, and obvious gathers at the rounded corners. I know that I'll wind up imparting my own character on the leather, but at least it should start out in cherry condition for the bones Apple gets.
