The touchbar would have been clutch had the video scrubber been relative instead of absolute. Apple screwed up and there was no way to provide technical feedback.

I miss the spelling suggestions, although this could be fixed if Apple would offer automatic popup suggestions (without having to right-click a word which is really cumbersome)

Also, for those of you who wanted magsafe, there are good quality magnetic PD charger adapters which are honestly better (you can get them as right angle ones, too). I'd rather have an extra USB port than sdcard and hdmi which I'll probably never use.

Just upgraded two macbook to M4 in family, and we miss it.
The touchbar was very useful to quickly change volume, screen and keyboard brightness etc. On M4 there is no physical button for keyboard brightness :(

With external monitor it is less usefull, but still you can easily change both screen brightness individually with the touchbar.

The hdmi, sd card slot makes zero sense for us. Magsafe is bad design, at least it should be on both side of the machine.

I miss it slightly ( even if they never got safari tab previews working properly.. that still shocks me how buggily sloppy that was after even years ), given the choice of only one I'd rather have function keys, but I would not mind having both.

the real question for me (i don't know if it's mentioned already) is if our opinion on the touchbar is clouded by the dreadful butterfly keyboard.
