Will we see M4 models soon, hence the price reduction to clear out M2 and M3 inventory?

Maybe an M4 Air in early 2026. You do realize the M3 Air was just released this March and the M1 Air launched in 2020 and the M2 Air launched in 2022?

I still just cannot fathom paying $1400 for a laptop in 2024 that only has 8GB of RAM.
This. Especially since it is shared RAM. Apple needs to wise up, and quick, that people are becoming much more price conscious. Everything is getting more expensive, and people are looking very carefully at what one gets, for every dollar.

That’s the strength of apple. You get more options up to 128GB ram and they also sell the M2. But if you want to stay with apple you need to pay their premium. And they are so good so people stay and pay.
