AMD 7950 freezing and restarting under load

yep, exactly as described, it's burning like crazy. Do you think it can be fixed with the right rom or is it a hardware issue?

Your ROM disabled the temperature sensor. Flash it to the original ROM.

He doesn't have the original ROM any more. He didn't save it. It also sounds as if he has overwritten the secondary bios image too.

wispy007 sent me the original rom but it didn't work unfortunately. I still think that the temp sensor was not working before, because the card was restarting under safe bios mode even before I flashed it. I guess I will just get another one from amazon and do what crjackson2134 suggested.

this guy here https://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=17748574 has the same system as me except for the graphics card and it is also crashing on him. I'm starting to think it might not be the overheating issue
