Great.
Dual Polaris 10 full fat, underclocked (core and mem) to fit <250W. WX7100 clocks that is.
Fiji might be dead for good.
Now only 5K and 8K monitors are mentioned. We are approaching that time.

NVidia Volta might be coming next year with GDDR6 also.

Native speaker translation:
- When Vega?
- When it is ready. And it will be this quarter :).

Any hopes, thoughts, dreams about its performance, price, power consumption?

BTW, the new Duo card is less powerful than the previous one, but it costs $500 less and consumes like 100W less.

4 GPUs: $2000
2 GPUs: $10000
What do you not understand about "moving the goalposts"?

The ATI page says "first dual GPU card for professionals".

The K80 has been out a long time.

It's either first, or it's not. (It's not.)

Mentioning price is moving the goalposts.

I did not pay attention to that blurb.

But K80 is not really "G", and it is "enterprise", not "professional".

GPU allocation seems nice.

So, Vega will be here this quarter? Meaning till June?
Let's hope this time AMD will really deliver, make our jaws drop. I believe they're going in the right direction but... we'll see.
With this new Pro Duo, I'm not sure there will be a Vega Pro soon.

Two weeks until the Volta announcments on 8 May....
For consumers the architecture on high level is reused GP100 chip architecture. For Volta you have to wait till Q4 2017, and its only for HPC(same thing as with this round of GPUs). It will be actually interesting to see what changes Nvidia will do with Volta on HPC, because they will go next turn to consumer GPUs.
