Jaimie Rivera - Okay but I hate his videos about going from iPhone to HTC One M8 then back to iPhone 6. If I wanted to know about platform hoppers, I might as well go on this thread since there endless posts but trying Android then going back to iPhone. PocketNow hasn't been the same without Brandon and Michael.
C4ETech - Ash's reviews were not that polished at first, but he is the only Indian reviewer I can understand. Since we have Xiaomi, Oppo, Asus, Lenovo, Huawei, and other Asian brands here, I generally might check his reviews since the American reviewers aren't likely reviewing them.
The worst reviews come from PhoneArena. They are as biased to Apple and Samsung as CNET was biased to Sony over ten years ago. I never forgive them giving the Xperia ZR a 6.5/10. The guy who reviewed iPhone SE was a joke. Couldn't understand him. Worse than David Pierce. At least David can try to sound objective but we all know he thinks iPhone is the best out there and made two videos on The Verge professing his love for them. The PA reviewer for the SE tried to sound witty but wasn't. Sounded French. Didn't pay attention and deleted it soon after. Former PA, John V, is now on AA to show his awful reviewing skills.
I don't mind when review sites love iPhone. I don't care if that is their choice. But review the damn phone. There is no need to compare platforms or with iPhone. Then we had this whole narrative script about complaints about BUILD QUALITY. Then Samsung listened but omitted removable battery, sd slot, and water resist for the S6. I get people love Apple's design philosophy but it isn't always the right trend to start for everyone looking more function over form.
The irony here is Anandtech talk and test thoroughly like they are Android users. They are good with the technical details. But most iOS users only need the knowledge from reviewers on Amazon, PhoneScoop, Walmart, Best Buy, Apple, Target, MobileTechReview, PhoneArena, or whatever soccer mom to give the gist of it all in layman terms.
