Peeps you have to start taking 48mp ProRAW photos. I think this the most overlooked new feature so far just because of the 12mp comparisons between 14 Pro vs 13 Pro and Samsungs.

Coming form IP13 ProMax....

The AOD is my favorite, and the 48mp camera is a very close second. I have not tried the new brightness while outside yet. That comes tomorrow.

5gUW still sucks is most places. No change there.

LTE speeds are faster in the same area compared to previous model.

And everything is much faster - probably due to A16 CPU.

Still, I would love USB-C and more flexible lock-screen configurations.

They have improved every aspect of this phone. It’s a near perfect slab of a phone at this point. USB-C, WiFi 6E and the telephoto lens are really the last things on the wish list before moving on to new form factors or at the very least new materials to get the weight down.

Cameras
Display
AOD
Speakers
LTE/5G speeds
DI > Peninsula Notch
Read/Write speeds
Better heat dispersion

All while keeping the same battery life of the 13PM. Hardware wise there’s not much more to be done. iOS could use some freshening up.

I don’t have a 13PM to compare it to, but I will say the 14PM is easily the most impressive hardware and software experience I’ve enjoyed across all previously owned smartphones. The thing Apple boasts about often really is a key ingredient. The perfect synergy of hardware and software working together to create a fantastic customer experience.

For me, the brightness outside in the sun. Wowzers. I came from the 13 Pro Max and the difference is really something. Didn’t think I’d be as impressed as I am. It’s a massive difference.
Hey OP, a poll on the first page would be pretty neat. Be sure to put several 14 Pro features, such as the Always-On Display, the Dynamic Island, the 2000nits peak brightness…

For me, the selling point is the Dynamic Island.

For me it's the AOD , that's the one thing that always put me back on Android. I can't be missing notifications period. And the anxiety would eventually cause me to switch.
That's not to say I don't wish for more changes in the OS. But with AOD I can probably stay on iOS now .

Whats the peak brightness you can reach manually (with auto brightness turned off)? Is it noticeably brighter than the 13 pro on max normal brightness setting?

I'd have to say the display. Its something almost no one mentioned but I see a pretty decent difference over my 13pm and my 14pm.

The promotion movement is smoother, I feel like its a bit clearer and the extreme low end and high end brightness is better as well.

The notch vs the pill is marketing. I like the pill better but it isn't some massive change nor is it a massive issue many here make it out to be.
ProMotion on the 14 Pro is the same, it's not any smoother than the 13 Pro. Same goes for any sort of "it's so much faster!!!" bogus claims.

It's all placebo.

Underrated feature: the Snapdragon x65 5G modem. It’s supposed to boost speeds, use less battery, and greatly improve connectivity in low signal situations.

Does the 4nm X65 modem improve things in practice or is this just on paper?

Interesting if applicable to the 14 Pro.

I figure for most people living in urban
areas (like me) this won't matter because they get 3-4 bars the vast majority of the time anyways.

But for ones who have to consistently deal with low signal, it's a nice quality of life improvement.

Read/write speeds? LMAO, what the actual **** are you talking about?

It makes zero difference.

48mp in pro raw is my favourite thing followed by AOD and yes brightness outside you don’t realise how important it is until you need it

I don’t have a 14 but a lot of people around me who have 14 said that the heat is improved
What I do hate is the lack of 5.4in mini

I think you are getting the wrong idea. The supposedly improved thermals (thin graphite film?) only really matter when playing games for longer periods of time like Genshin Impact (notoriously demanding).

This won't actually matter in everyday use and the 14 will still dim in direct sunlight under warmer conditions.
