I didn't do a clean install of 8.1 when I jail broke. But I am having issues with not being able to download anything from the app or iTunes Store. It's very annoying.

Not a single problem here (except for some Springtomize specific issues). Right now only running one tweak... Littlebrother so that I can use landscape mode and smaller icons. Would love to be able to hide the apps I don't use but Springtomize has issues with messing up the control centre right now. Hideme8 won't allow access to the hidden apps in spotlight search. So I just have those apps buried in 3rd and 4th pages of a folder for now.

As for the actual JB went without a hitch, and I had even forgot that I did the 8.1 update via OTA! I didn't do a fresh install, and I didn't turn off passcode etc either. The only thing I did was put the phone in airplane mode before I clicked start in Pangu.

Copic caused my phone app to stop working it didn't like the picture in the recently calls after removing it everything was fine. This was on a iPhone 5s

Copic is not ready. Crashed my phone app, contacts and messages. I just removed it for now until it is updated. As far as JB'ng my i6, it went flawlessy.

I have to admit I do hate when updates are out and I know I have to go through the whole update and re-jailbreak crap.

I generally lose about two hours of my life unless it literally goes perfectly. Going from 7.0.4 to 7.2.1 was seamless. Used open backup. Saved the file. Updated via iTunes. Restored cydia repos and tweets with open backup. All took about twenty minutes. But it is rarely ever seamless.

Yesterday I updated my iPad to 8.1. Ran pangu and completely bricked my iPad. Couldn't even get it into DFU mode. Nothing worked.

Thankfully I remembered the holding the home button as you plug the cable in. That thankfully made iTunes recognise the iPad and I restored. Then jailbroke again.

It is a pita but the way I see it is it's worth it for the sheet functionality that a jailbreak brings.

Some questions :

1. Ipad air 2 came with iOS 8.1 after a backup I can jail break or should I do a fake first.
Also have touch id if I durable can I reenable after the job?

Yes, you can re-enable Touch ID after the jailbreak

I removed my Jailbreak today as well......

TouchID would not work correctly. If I went in and re did my fingerprints, it would work fine for about 15 minutes. Then stop working all together. Rinse and repeat. Same thing.

I also had an issue with the sensor for turning the screen black when I talked on the phone. It would not "wake up" if I removed the phone from my ear, as if to make a keypad choice when calling a business. It would just stay black. If I hit ANY button, it would hang up the call.

I tried to DFU reset, re Jailbreak, install my back up, but had the exact same issues. I did NOT OTA update to 8.1, did it through iTunes.

I just DFU reset again and removed the JB.

The only tweaks I had installed were Winterboard, a theme (it didn't matter which one), and Springtomize. It was doing the same thing before I installed the newly released Springtomize. Removed a few things to see which app was causing it, but couldn't figure it out. Tired of messing with it, just removed the JB. Not worth the headache........

Have Activator, springtomize and loads of other (compatible) tweaks, no issues whatsoever TouchID works fine, my guess it is something in your backup, an old plist probably.

There just no way, I will let go of jailbreak.....5S, so far, Activator, Check, Batterylife, CCSettings, ClassicDock, HideMe8, iCleaner, IconBundles, Iconomatic, iFile, iWidgets, WifiPasswords, Winterboard, Zeppelin....Themes Taca, 77, Ele7en...everything works like a charm....zero issues.....perfect :)

Backed up phone.
Set up phone as new with clean 8.1.
Problems jailbreaking.
Numerous complications.
Finally jailbroke.
Restore from backup.
Wait forever.
Set up Apple Pay (again).
Enter all kinds of crap again (touch ID, passwords, etc).
Phone app crashes and does not accept any input.
Troubleshoot not effective.
Restart phone.
Oh, no. Stuck in boot mode (Apple logo on black screen).
Hard reset.
Same thing.
Hard reset.
Same thing. (repeat)
Restore as new.
Jailbreak now gone.
Restore from backup.
Set up Apple Pay and same crap again as above.
Phone works with no jailbreak.
2 Hours gone for the same phone I had in the beginning.
Don't want to go through all that again.
The End.

I'm so dumb I will probably try again some other time.
I just went through something really similar to you.....Trust me when I tell you its most likely a bad back up. Try this one last thing before giving up.

1.Erase you iPhone via settings menu

2.Then after it is done and you're at the set up screen put your phone in dfu/restore mode

3.Restore AS NEW and DO NOT set up your apple id or enter fingerprints and disable location services.

4.After your at the home screen put the iphone in airplane mode and then jailbrake using the latest version of pangu.

5. After you're jailbroken DO NOT restore from a back up and continue to set up your phone and sync via itunes however you had it before.

This here worked for me! Good Luck pal!

You should take you're own advice. If you both had boot loops it was you're fault for not using the updated fixed pangu that was release well before yesterday. The boot loop issue was well documented an explained a week after the first pangu release.

And since you think you know what type of person I am, I am one who uses sound logic and doesn't make excuses for my own mistakes when I should have known better. Unlike you're attempt, to sound like you know what you're talking about, in which this case you clearly do not.

I've said my peace. No need to reply to this. Rest assured, I won't be responding to ether one of you.

I used the most recent update Biff.
