had some leftover salmon and herring with rice and drank a glass of gallo hearty burgundy...cheap, but ok if you don't drink too much

but finer wines tend to be less harsh and i could drink more...same goes with beer but since i have lost weight by cutting out beer, i only leave the malt beverage for very special occassions

funny you should ask....the DB brewery here in kiwiland are having an anniversary this week, so they invited everyone (!) of legal drinking age in New Zealand for a beer. coupons can be cut out of the newspapers and can be redeemed at any pub selling their brands (that's just about every pub here).
but me, i'm having a root beer instead.

I don't drink beer anymore. Right now I am enjoying a few cups of Celestial Seasonings Decaf Mint Green Tea. Yummy!

I'm drinking coffee right now, as it's 8:45 in the morning. Tonight it will be either Blue Moon (with an orange to fight scurvy) or Yuengling Lager.

Just tried the Yuengling (pronounced Ying-Ling) last week. Sort of like Killian's Red meets Amber Bach. Plus it's the oldest brewery in America. Try some if you haven't yet, it's my new favorite.

But who am I kidding, I drink Bud Light or Miller Lite 90% of the time. Hey it's cheap and I'm poor.

Last night was a pint of Warsteiner Premium at Pub Italia, but this morning it just coffee.

now i am on to the cheap coffee that doesn't really taste like anything, but hey it has the caffeine and that is the whole point..... now what to drink tonight.... :p

I'm usually a strickly tea or water person 95% of the time. But when I do have a beer the odd occasion at night I like Spitfire and Pedigree, nice proper British beers! Pedigree being made at my home town! yey! :)

haha, good luck on your quest there, hopefully your drunken state will impress rather than put off!

Hmm I'll legally be able to buy alcohol in a few months here in the US, but I doubt I'll ever buy any, since I hate every kind of alcohol (not much) that I've tried so far. Plus, alcohol + sitting down for hours in front of a screen (monitor, tv) = getting fat, and I don't want to become some fat guy with a heart attack by age 30 ;) so I recently had a revelation and stopped drinking excessive pop ("soda" for you southerners) and sugar-based drinks, and almost always drink water now. yea I'm boring, but I'd rather not start stupid habits now :D :)

Duff-Man says....drinking alcoholic beverages is much the same as anything else you may eat or drink - moderation is the key. You'll not get fat if you have a beer once in a while....3 or 4 all the time then yeah, you may have a problem. A glass of wine with dinner has been shown to be a *good* thing for most people....I had a nice glass of red with dinner tonight (we were eating italian so it is just about mandatory!) and now I sit back for a while with a glass of cold Perrier with lemon.....oh yeah!

Not drinking anything at the moment, but if I could, a nice cold Brooklyn Lager. Based in, you guessed it, New York, and unfortunately is a regional thing. Not too heavy, and a nice aromatic aftertaste.

Dogfish Head IPA is nice too, as is Bareknuckle Stout.

Various Belgian beers though... bliss :D
