I know this is not really an app, it's just a workaround. Have anyone tested to see if the workaround for the Samsung Gear Fit works for the Nexus 5 with Android L? I was thinking about getting it, I know it works on kitkat. I just don't want to downgrade to kitkat, my battery life is a lot better with Android L (battery saver mode on)

Titanium Backup is finally working great for me. They're currently on Android L Test 3.

Adding Contacts from hangouts don't stick. That is to say, if you get a number from a phone, you can add it to the contact, but hangouts still shows the phone number instead of the contact name.

Amazon Kindle & SHO Anytime FC. I have read that tethering doesn't work either.

This actually wound up being the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back for me". If Android L gets some real updates, I'll jump back, but until then, I'm going to stick with Kitkat.

That's why it is a developer preview. To get the developers of apps to fix their apps before public release.

While it is great that anyone can download the " L" preview, I hope Google doesn't do this again in the future. You should be a registered developer or user within the Beta programs before being allowed to download a coded/tagged preview.

This isn't directed at you Austin. Just commentary. I recommend every stay on 4.4.x, until the official drop of L, unless you have a spare phone you can put it on to play with.

Agreed. That's why I went back. It was worth a spin, for sure.

I disagree. Google makes it explicitly clear that it is a preview and some things won't work. I'm a software tester by trade so I thought I would give it a spin. I like what I saw and found things, but have since gone back.

Understood. Didn't mean to seem like I was talking down to you. I apologize if I came across that way and i Hope you were not offended?

I've just seen a lot of people complaining on a lot of forums about L (even XDA! Which you'd think those people would know better, and it was getting annoying).

I have also left L and my Nexus 5 on the shelf and back on Windows Phone. My Lumia 925 arrives tomorrow, so updating / backing up everything on my 1520 for easy loading on to the 925.

Of course not. I think I'm more than content at this point to see Lollipop or whatever as Google intended for the customer.

Change something and you know someone will be unhappy. I like it a lot, I just want it when the rest of the OS has caught up to the look and feel of L.

I'm looking at Apple's offering before I make any future OS plans anywhere, but I will certainly consider keeping my Nexus 5 as a play phone in the future.
