I dunno, Apple's fees are in line with other distributors. I don't think that is the problem.

But it's good to see Android picking up so much momentum. If I ever had the need for a smartphone I'd definitely have a hard time picking between an iPhone and an Android.

I'd pick Android I think... Way bigger range of phones to choose from. Apple makes 1. At least dozens of phones from diff companies at all different prices run Android. And unlike windows, I actually like the Android OS :D

More people are using Android than iOS. Globally. That's how.

Wrong again. More people us iOS than Android. iOS had the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Now if you want to say Android is out selling the iPhone that is true but were talking about OS. And what does Android outselling the iPhone or iOS, what's that have to do with what were taking about?

Your argument holds no water. Every statistic being published shows android increasing in market share at a double digit rate. Developers are not idiots, they see where the money is. If a platform has millions of users, that's a potential customer base they could tap.

So what if Android market share keeps rising. iOS marker share keeps rising also and iOS user download more apps and spend more money than Android user. Developers will keep developing for iOS because thats were the money at. You guys keep taking as if OS market share is the end all.

The android marketplace is growing and at some point will catch up to iOS

Theres no proof that's going to happen. Right now Google has officially said theres only 150,000 apps in their app store. Theres plenty of reports of unofficial numbers but until Google announces anything it's 150,000. Apple out paced them to 150,000 apps too

Why are consumers arguing over who makes more money on their market? Are you Apple?

What matters for consumers is the availability of good apps they want. Isn't that what should be debated? IMO iOS wins there over Android (Android owner).

Who cares about July? In the long-term Android will simply maul iOS. The growth rate is insane.

Well the TS did post an article saying that Android will have more apps than the iOS by June....

How is the Android market going to "maul" iOS, when iOS is still outpacing Android when it comes to apps? It took iOS 21 months to get to 200,000 apps it took Android Market 30 months
