As he stated, iOS 8 allows for the addition of widgets to the Notification panel/shade, which is accessible even on the lock screen. While some Android devices allow for the addition of widgets on the lock screen, I believe some devices don't presently have this capability (but don't quote me as I obviously haven't used every Android device ;)).

Thanks. I'm really intrigued to see how this works when iOS finally comes out. I'm not sure if I like the idea of having them in the notification bar though. It can get cluttered enough as it is without sticking a bunch of widgets in there. However I'll wait and see though.

You know you can remove whatever you don't want shown. You can also re-arrange things.

Yeah, having too many widgets woukd probably be a bit cumbersome as it would involve a lot of scrolling. Otherwise I think Apple has done a good job separating elements. The Notification Panel has two tabs--one solely for notifications and a second labeled as Today which would house the widgets so clutter shouldn't be an issue.

Well I've held off on installing the beta so in a week or two I'll finally get my hands on it.

Lol this shows that I haven't fully gotten used to ios7. I know that they are both there but I'm obviously not using them properly. I think because I'm using it on my iPad Air and iPod touch, they are not my daily drivers although I do use my iPad everyday. So I don't know all the ins and outs of how it can be separated.

Somehow I feel like switching to a faster processor phone can't be the answer,

Because it will never be fast enough. Phones get faster, giving developers more options - developers using the options, slowing things down as a result.

Same with PCs. Over the 10 years PCs have shot up in performance. Do you feel your PCs are actually a lot faster ? Not really. Software just got bigger / blown up and no matter what you do - you will always play catch-up. PCs .. Phones .. same thing ...

Ya - iOS 7 actually has three tabs, one of which is pointless which is why its being removed in iOS 8.

You can delete the current widgets in iOS 7 and move stuff around now. Doesn't make a huge difference considering there isn't a lot that can be shown at this point, but come iOS 8 it'll be a big deal.

I agree with tbaygrs, having the Today view separate from the notifications does help a ton.

I use today and all. I don't really use missed as I find it just duplicates stuff from the all tab.

So you're telling me it's fine if a Game released in 2013 doesn't ran smooth on a HIGH END device from 2014?
Are you kiddin me?!

Plastic feels like plastic unless they added a texture to it. There's no way you can complain about a plastic device feeling worst than another plastic device. You must be talking about the phone as a whole, cause every plastic that I've felt on a phone feels the same regardless of the difference of the phones as a whole. If you know something about differ plastics being used, please do tell.

What if I tell you they indeed added texture to it? So you cannot discern if it feels good or not only buy reading: Polycarbonate.
