Did you take these? A rule in the photo forum is that photos posted must be your own. ?

The EXIF data shows a Nikon L120 which does in fact run off of AA batteries, I'm gonna say yes.

I was actually considering starting a similar thread at some point, more for just pointers/technique than just sharing pictures. As the last weekly contest showed, there are lots of good wildlife photographers here! Here's a couple pics of mine from yesterday:

Not entirely in focus. And of course always just sitting somewhere. Trying to get a bird in flight is hard!

???

BTW, how do you read exif data? Once I switched to Safari a number of years ago I lost that capability. I'm too lazy to switch between Safari and a different browser, but maybe that's my only option. I just gave up trying to read it.

Safari, on iOS at least, will allow viewing of EXIF data if the image file has it. Click on the attachment / photo. There should be something similar to this:

I don't think Safari has that built-in, but the MR Forum's photo viewer does! On my phone it seems you can only get to the sidebar when in landscape not portrait.

Well, having an "animal photography" thread is a good start -- maybe that'll become a nice new home for all those cat photos! LOL! :D

Actually, many serious photographers tend to think in more specific terms: wildlife photography, pet photography, equestrian photography, etc., etc. Just saying....

That is really cool about the exif info showing now on attached photos in MR! I hadn't realized that! It does work on MacOS, too, as I have just experimented while on the MBP. However, if someone has hotlinked from another site, such as their own gallery at Zenfolio or Smugmug, or their account at Flickr, then the exif info may or may not be available at that source.

Wow, I’m gonna put you on my ignore list for that comment ???
@Captain Trips alert!

just kidding, I actually have a serious comment but need a little more time to think it through before I post, meanwhile I’ll post some cat pics elsewhere ??

Man, just when you think you get to (virtually) know someone, and then something like this happens... ?

Good job! I saw the "Captain Trips-alert" shining on the clouds over my house and came running to this thread. ?

I will still post cat pictures to the Photo of the Day and the Photo Association Game threads, but this one can be a nice outlet if I have met my quota on those two threads. :)

So without further ado...

Here is Luna and Sinclair sharing a cat bed.

I have decided to start a dedicated thread vs hi-jacking this one:
