Blondie.jpeg

Everybody has raccoons, they are everywhere, I have a special one who visits a couple nights a week. He/she? is a Blonde Raccoon, fairly rare. Taken through my screen door, that is why image is soft. If I open door it runs off.

I've recently set up a wildlife section on my website, which I was in two minds about. I am predominantly a landscape photographer, but I do enjoy other elements such as nature and wildlife. A lot of the images are 'fillers' for now, as I need to try and get cleaner, uncluttered backgrounds for my future work.

Rocky Mountain, in July 2019. The last cause Covid !

Landed in Denver, one of our most pharaonic expeditions can begin, and this year, American will reveal one of its facets, never uncovered before.
We christen this road trip with the discovery of Estes Park, still in Colorado, with its Rocky Mountains buried under 1.5 m of snow, whilst my region is facing an enormous heatwave.

Up there, breathing proves difficult, ironically, we climbed by car. It’s important to mention throughout all the Rocky Mountains of America - like the ones explored before with Sequoia Park – the roads pass by without any pain, and without realising it, given the wide lanes and open sights. I'm glad you were able to spend some time in Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. These are wonderful places indeed.

A wee squirrel near the loch while I was out testing the Nikon D500. Got right down on my belly with the D500 and 500mm PF to get this one and somehow had flicked off IS. I have to say I much prefer my Z6 for wildlife so that D500 will sit in my camera bag unless it is needed for a specific use case like BIF or in a hide (So it can serve double duty as a scope).
