With USB-C, there's an enormous world of peripherals that now work on iPhone- without any adapters. The same devices work on Mac, iPad, Windows and Android. It's amazing. Displays, Hubs, Docks, Audio, Input Devices, Video Input, faster charging, 10Gbit transfers.

Why would you want that gone?

Because I don’t use them or need them.

Free up the space.

Make it more water tight.

Wireless charging sounds good only in theory.
No it doesn't. I have a Belkin 3-1 charger. I don't have to connect any cable to charge. Just connect the magnets and it's good to go. Unlike Apple's MagSafe charger, I don't need two hands to disconnect the iPhone from the Belkin Charger, or push it off with one of my fingers. Just pick it up and it comes loose. When it's connected to the charger, it goes into Standby mode, so it functions as an alarm clock on my nightstand.

So it doesn't only sound good, it is good.

Rip your battery but at least you‘ll have the opportunity to fry an egg at the same time.

I’ll personally stick to my old 5 w charger on my iPhone 15 Plus. Learned my lesson with charging my 12 Pro Max mostly via wireless charging and yes, I don’t replace my iPhone every other year or even 2 years anymore

People still believe in that myth ? I still have 100% battery, after 2 years and using wireless all the time

Anker says, "can" support. Are we sure they are just not doing some word marketing here. That is, that is can support if Apple allows vs, it will support based on their actual testing with a current iPhone? As Apple's site says will only be 7.5w so I'm doubtful.

yes let's absolutely do that 100% for sure. port is stupid.

I wouldn’t exactly call having a direct wired connection to tons of accessories stupid. There may be arguments for removing it but I believe the arguments for keeping it are stronger.

For example I listen to music over the wired connection all the time. If you care about sound quality and haven’t tried a wired connection vs Bluetooth in a while, try it.

I doubt that will happen. The jab c port is probably an obligation in the eu.
My guess is you are Anti Vax based on USB being replaced by "jab". It doesn't matter to me, to each their own, I just found it funny that your phone or computer replaced one word for the other.

Anker advertises 15W iPhone charging with their Anker 3-in-1 Cube. What is the difference here?

they could have engineered a proper, easy to plug usbc and we wouldn't be dealing with BMWs frying nfc chips. wireless charging is hardly wireless. yet very immature and limited.

But I just bought another pair of Apple MagSafe chargers for a remote work location and those are definitely going back before Amazon’s holiday return deadline if they aren’t somehow automagically upgraded to handle 15W.
Apple MagSafe already handles 15W. The Qi2 standard that these Anker chargers follow is just playing catchup.
