It’s stopping charge at “100%” which is like plugging in any device (ie Bose headphones, wireless dildo) and unplugging immediately at green. You have to overcharge to get real capacity. Is that related in some way to the optimized charging feature?

The optimized charging feature doesn't stop charging at 100%, it stops temporarily at 80% and then charges to 100%.It’s stopping charge at “100%” which is like plugging in any device (ie Bose headphones, wireless dildo) and unplugging immediately at green. It’s probably something in their codebase because it is a bug in watchOS 7 as well. My AW4 does the literally same stupid thing. And I’m jailbroken so I hope it doesn’t mean they release a patch that fixes it but also ****s up the jailbreaking method I use. Because if it does, I’m not 100% sure if it’s that worth it to update. Unless jb works on that future version too, or someone makes a tweak that will backport this bug fix just like a lot of tweaks like these exist for previous old iOS issues. Also hope they fix it globally and not say only on iPhones. Don’t have a new enough MacBook to check if it’s also buggy on big sur (because I run big sur officially on my mbp, but it’s too old to have optimised charging) but it might be. I recommend to check it to anyone who has a MacBook that supports optimised charging. Just so that we can tell em where it’s broken since they missed it.Supposed to.
But every device - across chargers, apple ID’s, everything - has 20-30% lower battery life because the final 20% is done for too short a time. Then it stops.
my phone isn’t a Jaguar, Audi, or other electric vehicle which is attempting to save battery life by retarding capacity. (Except Tesla who don’t care.)
It’s a phone. Or a computer. Or a watch.
Yeah, but they broke jailbreaking. Not a big deal in the end, it’s not like iOS is terrible and I have to fix it - it’s just missing haptics in the keyboard that really irk me and I used a jailbreak tweak for that and it always worked well.It seems it's fixed by iOS 14.3. At least it wast just a bug. No switchbacks in the past 2 days luckily.
I tried that tweak after reading about it around here (when I was still able to jailbreak) and it was the most obnoxious thing I'd ever paid for. If you're even semi-fast at typing the phone is basically buzzing non-stop.Yeah, but they broke jailbreaking.
