very quick video of "Best Friends".... My dog(black newf) and my parents dog (Golden Retriever).. i didn't have anything else to video so the dogs have to do....

It was uploaded to youtube via the 3gs also.... I'll see when i download it to my computer to see if it is as grainy as it is on youtube, I think it's the compression from 3gs to Youtube.....

Wow you make me want to go out and get a 3GS just for this app. As someone noted, I can't believe Apple didn't come out with something similar but maybe eventually they will.

With App store, Apple made a brilliant move - they give us basic functionality and hardware to work on, we than create to our liking. It is like when you buy a new computer- you just have very basic (native) set of programs.

I agree with this. It seems like a smart business move for Apple to NOT include something like this in the iPhone natively with the way their app store works. If they had included this functionality with the iPhone, I don't think it would help to sell that many more iPhones than they already do (it might make a few people decide to get the phone on this feature alone, but I think that would be a small percentage compared to how many people already buy it). But, by allowing a 3rd party to develop it and sell it in the App Store, they now make 30% off every sale of the software. Seems pretty smart to me, actually.

I just looked at there website:

they've got some cool pic/video apps.... so if we can get them integrated into this app (reeldirector)
wow will this be really really cool..... has so much potential....

keep moving forward developers, great job!!

Edit: I've notice the same tool/knucklehead that is giving this app 1 star (in the app store) is giving there other apps they develop 1 star also, with the same coment "please add more editing, too simple".... must be a competitor.... (kind of like Palm/an-droid/etc....LOL)

awesome, just purchased it, was looking for an app to be able to stitch videos together, this does that and more! :D

For a first version - I must say it's impressive. There are already a lot of features which could have easily been omitted and added later but the developers truly executed this app well and made it feature rich from the get go. Are there things to add - of course... and I think they will. If this is 1.0 - I look forward to future updates!

Great App! Looking forward to updates.

I think someone already mentioned this either here or in the reviews in the App Store, but I would like to restate. It is really only missing the ability to incorporate still photos. (and of course the announced, upcoming voice over/soundtrack functionality)

I am slightly concerned about the additional compression of videos.

Overall I am very impressed and am looking forward to updates!

how long did it take to edit that ????????

if i had to do that same thing over it would take me 2 minutes to make it a few more to render.... I probably messed with it for 1/2 hour... but that was messing around learning the thing... 2nd time is always faster....

i did up load that version straight from my iphone... if you noticed i also put the same version that i uploaded from the computer to youtube... i was kind of hoping i'd get less compression from my computer ie better results but there is no difference between the two in terms of quality....

still great app... and can't wait to see where the developers take it.....
