Really? Because the Q10 my brother has to use for work is not even close to be good. Can't type nearly as fast as on a software keyboard and the touchscreen isn't accurate enough to be pleasant to use. Only advantage I see is the battery life, which could be due to less media consumption.

I have a Blackberry Curve that I carry out of corporate necessity. It is not my primary device.
I tried using the Good app on my iPhone but I hated it. The Blackberry is only for my company's email and calendar.

I like the keyboard, one of the winning features in my opinion. I do a lot of texting/communicating and physical buttons with the BlackBerry HUB makes it much easier than on any other phone. Apps, specs and the like that other people care about I couldn't care less about.
Its all about what you want out of a phone at the end of the day. I'm a keyboard sort of guy, not a touchscreen one.
It seems BB is still selling a lot of BB7 based phones, but hardly anyone is buying the BB10 phones.
No matter how much people slice it, BB is losing massive amounts of marketshare in the consumer segment and they're not gaining any enterprise customers.

Z30 and iPhone 5S user here. Difference is day and night. Z30 (or BB10) is a true communication device. With the right Apps; I can see BB rising again.
5S is nice, easy to use, with loads of high-quality apps and all; but iOS is no BB10.
Also own a Q10 as a backup device btw. I do miss physical keyboards every now and then.

Well that comes down to personal tastes.
Don't get me wrong, on a bigger device a physical keyboard is a great and the software solution a little worse, but on smartphones I like it to just tap on the screen not minding if I hit the right key and rather believing that the autocorrect fixes it (which it does most of the time)
Z10 owner here for a few months and so far I love my phone. Only negatives I have to say about it is that the battery life is awful and Blackberry World is worthless lol. Fortunately I have an extended battery and it runs Android apps so no complaints for now.
BB 10 is actually a pretty decent and fluid OS, same like iOS. BlackBerry HUB is actually very useful.
Their biggest problem is the management has no idea what they are doing. One day you hear they are focusing on enterprise and the next day they launch BBM sticker, without even considering to fix crappy BBM experience on iOS.

I have a Bold I still use sometimes but since BBM came out on iOS and Android I've not found much use for it. I like BB10 but the lack of apps prohibits me from using it (yes, I know it emulates Android apps, but I already have an Android phone). I still think it's sad BB is heading the way it is though. BB10 is a very nice OS, it's just too little too late.
I have my corporate curve. It does the job - it's nice only having to remember to charge it every week.
It does not emulate an Android environment, it is a port of the Android environment to run over the BB10 kernel, instead of the Android kernel.
What you might call "emulated" are native Android kernel system calls which are trapped and "redirected" to BB10 kernel system calls.
Google services have to be replaced by alternatives (e.g.: "Applications that use MapView from the Google Maps v1 API are now supported using OpenStreetMaps. Support for MapView v2 API is being planned for a future release.")
I thought stickers were a waste of time, but I checked them out today and they can be pretty cool. I actually bought one set, while I never bought a ringtone.
This actually makes money for BlackBerry instead of just "fixing" BBM for iPhone, when Apple forces you to use their notification system.
The problem is not BBM notification, but overall application experience. I feel like I'm using a cheap android phone every time I open BBM application on my iPhone.
Sticker is definitely cool, thats why line has a big user base. But sticker is the reason I don't like line and prefer whatsapp and BBM because of the clean interface. Channel is actually a nice idea though.
And IMO, "fixing" their application in other platform is more important in both short run and long run if they are serious to make BBM as the leader in instant messaging platform once again.
I have a bought-new jailbroken iPhone 4S running 7.0, a bought-new rooted Samsung Galaxy S4 running Android 4.3, and a Blackberry Torch 9810 with OS 7.1. The Torch is my daily driver - the other two are playthings.
I find it interesting that BB is bringing back into production the Bold 9900 - touchscreen with trackpad and physical keyboard (like the Torch).
IMHO, not everyone is a fan of touchscreen-only devices.

I'm still using my BB9900, still gets me 3 days of charge (for my use). Beats my wife's iPhone any day in signal strength and calls not being dropped and connecting clearly (her cell drops calls or doesn't get signal all the time, and we live in the third largest city in Canada).
I don't have many apps, but I don't care the phone works for what i want it to, hence why I have not updated. the iphone 5s didn't do it for me so I'll see if the 6 peeks my interest.

I am playing around with a T-Mobile Bold 9700 and it is very nice... The keyboard is still one of the easiest to type up long text messages with.
Too bad no Netflix on this device. Going to be using my iPad 1st gen for that now.
Will be using this until my next phone upgrade.

Unfortunately, I will be a BB user soon. I am getting a Z30 from work (had the option to get an iPhone 5S, but they are way too small for my gorilla hands). Just what I wanted, a second phone to carry around all of the time.
At least I still have my personal phone (Nokia Lumia Icon)
