Thats like blaming Bush for not getting Osama at Tora Bora, but in reality, we should blame Clinton for not having the cahonies to tell his sniper to pull the trigger when Osama was in his sights...

You were doing good up until this point. You can't have an intelligent thought about the NSA while at the same time believing there is a functioning two party system. There is ONE political group, not two, and if you believe different, you're still ASLEEP.

AT&T's policies and founding principles consumed the iPhone initiative, not the other way around. If you only knew the eavesdropping battle of the companies going on right now behind the curtain you'd hobble your two party tongue. iSight indexes your drive for someone else to view. Face recognition indexes your photos for someone else to view. Cameras, GPS, all for someone else. Study your history if you're not in the biz.

Google AIN'T a search company.

I love my ATT. I've never had trouble. Works almost everywhere I have ever been. Beats the hell out of my old verizon phone. Geeze, I have 3g most places, and I'm in rural PA/NY about 95% of my time.

Dude, can I get what ever you're smoking?

He can't tell you or the spy satellite parked over his house would take control of his Safari in order to transmit a copy of his DNA to the CIA. And also iTunes would somehow be involved.

... And you guys probably think your employers don't monitor your actions while at work on your computer.

There is a huuuuuge difference between that (which we know they do) and this insane BS about face recognition identifying personal photos on your iPad that AT&T sends to some government organization.

I've had AT&T since it was Cingular, not once has it ever given me any issue, seriously 1 dropped call in all these years. People who complain about AT&T either must live in the middle of no where or dont have it. I have lots of friends, all have Berry's or iPhones on AT&T no one has issues.

Tripple Ditto for me, in fact AT&T works better and I feel it is better then Verizon. My whole family has Verizon and I have Full Bars and Full 3G where ever they are not once have I had an issue. I think some ppl like to hear themselves talk, but if you do not like AT&T other then you do not get service in your area, then Stop bashing it, Verizon is a bunch of crooks on an old funky network that No One supports but Verizon and Sprint. I was nickel and dimed to death on Verizon, now with AT&T I have great support and service with a really good iPhone 3GS so no complaints from me.

I really wish Verizon gets the iPhone then ppl will flock to Verizon and they will have something else to complain about, besides it would free up AT&T's network for the rest of us. Let's see what anyone else's network does if they had 1/2 the traffic that the iPhone uses or puts out, they would ALL be in the same boat.

LOL at this thread.

The closer we get to iPad release day, the greater the fear and envy among the trolls.

Expect many more threads like this. They'll be fun to pull out and laugh at in around 1-2 years' time.

When I first got Verizon, I got a few dropped calls. Not knowing too much about them, I though it may have been the rural, mountainous area I lived in. I made the assumption that Verizon was really bad.

Then I got AT&T, and the reception was worse, but locals where I am claim they have worse problems with T-Mobile than either carrier.

But when I go to a more populated area where it is flatter, I hear fewer complaints about AT&T, and none really about Verizon.

I know for fact they do because I signed a consent form allowing them to. If I want to use their network they have a right to know what I'm doing on it. I use my personal iPhone for work as they are on Verizon. I had to sign off not only will they monitor all email and files, if I have anything they feel is a threat to their network, they can wipe my iPhone as well.

I'm pretty sure AT&T is not monitoring squat or they would have figured out for the past year I've been tethering my iPhone to my laptop. They may have the ability to, but clearly don't have the time nor the interest to do so.

I had Verizon before I switched to AT&T many years ago.

It was better for me with Verizon because I got more fresh air. I could not actually use my verizon cell inside my house, so I would have to go outside and get at least 15-20 feet away from the house in the back yard, or near the end of the driveway in the front yard to receive or make calls.

So I certainly did spend a lot more time outside.

It was fun when I would talk to my friends and they would be "I tried to call you 3 times last night." and I would respond, "Yeah, sorry, I was at home."
