I got my refurbed 16 GB black iPhone..

definitely great.. BUT here is my story..

I received my unit on Thursday January 2nd after ordering it on Monday december 29th..

it was in perfect condition I m telling you... BUT I played around with the phone and all that and then I decided to put my iphone in mute to test the button if it is in good working order.. and ended up the button fell off.. I was pretty shocked myself so I called ATT next day demanding a exchange, all they did was hang up on me twice after talking to the applecare, the guy was VERY rude..

I went to ATT store nearby and they took care of the problem and sent me a replacement one.. so now I just returned my old one yesterday in the mail, I am supposed to get my refund as soon as they get the defective iPhone..

as of now, I've had my 2nd iPhone for 4 days sofar and I am perfectly happy with it.. despite the fact that I HATE AT&T customer service.. they were supposed to send me a form that I called them about recently and I havent gotten it for over a week sofar..

I bought a 3G last summer after I waited in the line for 7 hours before the 8 AM release in June.. I returned it due to lack of features, but it is very much improved right now and my iPhone feels like new just like the one I got in summer and instead it is 16 GB! only for 200 bucks! also I am getting 50 bucks cashback from live.com

I got a black 16Gb refurb, and it seems a lot slower than the original one.

Could that be? Could they use a slower processor or slow it down??

Everything else is just fine.

Same processor, same speed. The newer iPod touch got a speed boost, but the iPhone 3G didn't. You're probably like me and just looking and searching for something horribly wrong until you put your own scratch or dent in it to "break it in."

Has anybody who ordered the refurbs from AT&T received theirs yet? What are your first impressions on the physical condition of the units? Any functional defects?

TIA,
Dale

My phone looks AMAZING. $100 was a freaking steal. I switched from Verizon, got sick of the voyager and no service at home. Now I have full service. Yay.

10 days later, nothing.

I ordered a black 8GB refurb on New Year's Eve. Didn't expect the two day shipping, but now that it's a week and a half later, I'm beginning to wonder what's wrong. It sent an email confirming the order, but no luck yet. Anyone else having this problem?

It won't show up on the Order Status page either.

LOL! True. I hope its the same.

I wish I heard more comments like this!

Re: Any feedback from AT&T iPhone 3G refurb buyers?

 Well, once again we've been lied to, and both Apple and AT&T want to point the finger at the other. I bough my refurb iphone 10/31/09 and started have problems with it the next day. When I called Apple I was informed I only have 45 days left out of my 90 day tech support over the phone and 317 out of 365 days of warranty...don't know about you guys but my box clearly states that my iPhone has a "full 1 year warranty"...im not sure what full means in AT&T's or Apple's language, but apparently it's a full 1 year warranty from date of original customer activation, not me as the second purchaser. Even though that's what I was told by the AT&T sales rep and not to mention the box says full warrranty...I love my iPhone but I'm not exactly a happy camper right now

Please let me know the outcome and if there is no resolution to this warranty issue. I just ordered a refurb 8gb 3G over the phone last night and today followed-up regarding the warranty information. I was told the ATT tech support is 90 days and Apple's warranty is 1 year.

I went back and forth with AT&T and Apple for a while and made no progress. First the people at the Apple Store told me to get documentation from AT&T of when I purchased my refurb and bring it in, after doing that they told me I needed to call AppleCare, and upon calling AppleCare I was told the warranty is good from the day the original owner purchased it, not me as the refurb purchaser. I purchased mine over New Years, and the warranty expired in October.
