Well my Nexus 4 battery is getting worse and I like to keep phones for 2-3 years so I was wondering of any flagship I could purchase that had removable batteries? And no. Not a phablet, a phone:p

I didn't know the G3 had a removable battery.

The LG G3 has a removable battery but I returned my device after one day of use and went back to my Note 2 until the Note 4 releases (both with removable batteries). The LG G3 is very laggy and requires you to change certain android options to stop the lag. Also, the phone started to heat up in my hand after 20 minutes of watching a video. The power button on the back was very hot. The screen is okay but I also had one dead pixel which did not help my opinion on this terrible laggy device.

Oh god that doesn't sound fun. The S5 seems OK I guess.

Not many. You have to go lower end to find more. Samsung is generally the top brand that provides removable battery for any of their range. Even Nokia stopped providing for flagship years ago. BlackBerry still does but they are near RIP.

I would have to disagree personally. While the stock launcher is a bit laggy, installing nova takes all of 5 seconds and includes a ton of customization. Plus, the lag is gone. Definitely consider the t3, it's an amazing device.

And I know you said you don't want a phablet, but the g3 has practically the same dimensions as a s5 and m8. Even smaller than the later, on account of those ridiculously small bezels.

I have bought Nova Launcher so I would install it anyway. I also root all my phones and would mess with custom ROM's so I guess I could fix the lag issue?

Definitely. The lag on default launcher is surprisingly bad, I'm hoping LG can fix it with an update (because it is a surprisingly customizable launcher that I do like, even though though it doesn't support icon packs to my knowledge), but nova doesn't have a drop of lag and also supports more features (as you probably know).

How long does the battery last you?

Biggest problem with the G3 is the two SKU's. You definitely want the 32gb version with 3gb ram rather than 16gb with 2gb ram.

LG tried to BS saying the 16gb version had been optimised for 2gb but that's nonsense, they run the same software.

Likewise if that was even remotely true then they would have used 2gb in the 32,GB version too.

So yeah, if your considering it, get the 3gb ram version.

Removable batteries are one of the most important features for me. So many times its key to have a spare. I don't want to need to charge my phone every night

Do you charge 2 batteries every 2 days then in order to alternate?
I normally carry around a few spares in my bag in case I know I won't be around a charger or if I'm out and about or travelling on business I know if I'm away for a few days there's no concern of needing a charger.

If I had a non removable then I know if I end the day on 30-40 % I would need to charge it at night. Which I wouldn't be keen on.

Fair enough. I charge mine every night through habit as I've done it with every phone since the Nokia 6150. Even if the phone didn't need it I used to just top it up so I knew it was full in the morning. I don't need to charge mine through the day though and its rare I forget my charger when I go away. I've never had a phone with a poor battery though so I guess I've never had to think about it. Whatever works for us eh :)

Yeah, there are plenty of times when I do charge it at night and not need to spares. Like this past week for example. Just need option to know you can depend on if you need it really.

If that is one of your demands when you buy a phone, I can't argue with that. :)
It wouldn't be a deciding factor but just one of those added things that I'm more used to at the end of the day.

I think the new iPhone is a fantastic device and plus is the only kind of phone I would leave the note line for. Just don't think it has what I mainly use but still want to go to the Apple store to have a look.

That said I'm pretty tied into my Note line now with all devices

Out of curiosity: I'm thinking about those new iPhones, and I have an MBAIr.
I honestly believe that with those 2 devices (6+ and a MBAir), the iPad (no matter the size) becomes redundant and an waste.

Do you find a particular use or the Galaxy Note 8, for example?

Note 8.0 I use when I'm at work but I want to replace it. Hoping to see when new ipad come out and maybe look at the mini.and get one that I can use data out.

Always liked the ipad models.

I get it. But doesn't an 8" (or 10") tablet becomes redundant with the Note 3 or 4 and the 12.2 version/PC? I'm really curious, because I believe that an 6+ (or other phablet) would do everything I need a mobile device to do.
