I get it. But doesn't an 8" (or 10") tablet becomes redundant with the Note 3 or 4 and the 12.2 version/PC? I'm really curious, because I believe that an 6+ (or other phablet) would do everything I need a mobile device to do.
Not really not for me. As I use my 8.0 just for out and about or when I need something quick. As 12.2 is a handful when grabbing it.

Note 3 I use for mainly apps and Tapatalk.

I thought that when I got my Note 3, but it's a phone rather than a tablet as far as the Google play store is concerned and you can't generally install tablet only apps on it and a lot of apps that do install just present the same interface (but bigger) as a standard phone rather than adjusting for the larger screen

The LG G3 has a removable battery but I returned my device after one day of use and went back to my Note 2 until the Note 4 releases (both with removable batteries). The LG G3 is very laggy and requires you to change certain android options to stop the lag. Also, the phone started to heat up in my hand after 20 minutes of watching a video. The power button on the back was very hot. The screen is okay but I also had one dead pixel which did not help my opinion on this terrible laggy device.

How the hell did you manage to discern one dead pixel that is about 0.5 µm "big"???

I normally carry around a few spares in my bag in case I know I won't be around a charger or if I'm out and about or travelling on business I know if I'm away for a few days there's no concern of needing a charger.

If I had a non removable then I know if I end the day on 30-40 % I would need to charge it at night. Which I wouldn't be keen on.

Isn't carrying (that means without using them for longer periods of time) around batteries on full charge "damaging" them, making them load less energy on full charge? Or isn't it even noticeable?

Oh god that doesn't sound fun. The S5 seems OK I guess.
Don't believe everything you read on the Internet. Software updates have taken care of lag on my G3. The clean UI and no bezel design is why I chose it. Not crazy Samsung type bloat at all.

Not to me, battery life and usage is to the same to me on all 3 batteries.

About 4.5 hours of screen on time.

What brightness level? What settings are on? I keep my Nexus at 1 quarter brightness. 3G only turned on when needed, bluetooth off, google now off, location settings set to battery saving and I get around 3hrs to 3 and a half.

I think it is interesting that someone that says they know Android…..has to open a thread to see which Android phones have removable batteries…..

Nova Launcher can cure most custom skin lag.

Under Nova's settings - Set it to FAST. Animation to Slide.

Go to your phone's settings under Developer's Option and make all three animations 0.5x.

This even helps for TouchWiz.

But it is probably better you went back to Samsung. Low SAR and hopefully lesser chances of cancer. Better to be safe than sorry. After hearing news my Stepdad has a brain tumor knowing he talks on his cell phone for hours with clients since the Wall Street/Zack Morris phone days, I say GO SAMSUNG!

I'm not sure I understand your post. I follow Nexus and HTC news because they interest me the most, however the Nexus 4 has taught me that a removable battery can be rather useful to me.

Furthermore, I root and (have)run multiple ROM's and kernels on my phone so me asking about removable batteries in recent flagships isn't an indication towards my knowledge AT ALL.

I get 4 hours on my S5 and got 4.5-5 hours on my note 3. I have the screen at roughly 30 % brightness but leave everything turned on except for Bluetooth. I leave my 4G on whilst out and then have it switch to wifi at home. I don't see the point in having a smartphone if. You're going to switch everything off.

I'm a very light user(which is why I believe I would be fine with a 6+) and don't need any of that on. I use my phone to text, search stuff up, call, play some games and use flipboard also a lot of google plus

Auto Brightness at 50% (which makes the screen acceptably bright in most conditions, 0% auto brightness makes it too dark, 100% auto brightness makes it too bright).

4G is only turned on when needed, bluetooth is on, google now is on, location settings I think are on battery saving.

I think the auto brightness at my level would average out to over quarter brightness all the time
