I have a another glass one coming in the mail since my last one broke, but when this one breaks i will give the MobC a try.

Thanks.

i liked them enough that i bought another pack to have as a backup since i used my 2nd of my original pack on my new replacement phone. i tried to buy the same brand for my wifes iphone 4 but they didnt make them, had to settle for a different brand.

$28 for a screen protector?
Wow...

Actually $35, and when I can pick up a pair of cheap plastic ones on Ebay for less than $3, then for some people $35 would be expensive. Then consider the case to fully protect the rest of the phone. Be nice if everybody had a hundred bucks just to blow here and there on a phone case.

Lol:D
I dont know guys, I wouldnt spend that type of money on a screen protector :D
Im sure many of us can afford $28-35 but to me it just doesnt make sense.

If $50 is inconsequential to you, please send me $50 today!

By me saying $50 dollars was cheap i was comparing it to the prices to replace other phones with insurance. Like when my old S3s screen broke i had to pay a deductible on top of the $7 i was paying for insurance a month which is ridiculous especially for such a crappy phone.

So yes by comparing $50 for a replacement for to over $100 that i had to pay to exchange my galaxy then $50 is cheap.

It is very expensive but i always seemed to get dirt under the plastic ones and having a white iPhone that everything shows up on i tend to get a little OCD with that. If i could i would take it to work and install in under the HEPA Hood.

If i mess up with the glass i can take it off wash it off with water and then reapply it till there is no dirt under the protector.

Interesting.
It looks kinda fragile though. Is it easily removable like that and does it stick as good after?

I'm sorry but since when did education become a bad thing to you?

Thats whats wrong with this country now, people like you think education is bad.

No. I don't think education is bad. You said if people get a degree it means they don't have to work minimum wage jobs. That's incredibly ignorant and false considering the American economy.

I'm not even in the US so I don't see how I can contribute the serious problems in your country, which is caused by a lot of ignorance.

Education doesn't create jobs when there aren't any available.

Any good advice on buying a screen protector?

If your talking about getting a useless degree like in english or dance or in a saturated field then yes a degree wouldn't necessarily mean a job. If someone is smart and does their research before blindly selecting a useless degree then it does correlate to a job. You would have to look at whats in demand. For example in the medical field, i only have two years left to get my doctorates and i already have a job waiting for when i graduate. Engineering jobs are in high demand as well. People need to realize a bachelors or masters isn't enough any more.

Anyway thats the last i will say on the matter, you are taking this topic completely off subject.

My original comment was to a guy that thought $50 for a replacement phone was expensive which is actually cheap compared to the carrier insurance plans.

Get real. Do you know how many Starbucks baristers have their bachelors or masters?

What else are you going to do with a degree in art?

I'm not trying to be rude or demeaning; I had a roommate that worked at two different Starbucks and I am pretty close with the teams at both stores. There are definitely a handful of people there with degrees, but not a single one has a degree in science or medecine.

And I understand a career in science or medecine isn't for everyone. But the country just doesn't really need all that many psychologists, writers, nor artists. Too many people are "going back to school" because the economy sucks and student loans are a temporary way to live comfortable. Until graduation when they realize that the music degree isn't going to increase their marketability in the slightest and it's, "Oh ****, I have 60k in student loans and a bachelor's degree and I'm working as a barista at Starbucks. Pity me, the economy sucks."

Buy a good one. Not the flimsy crap you get on ebay, but the harder tempered glass ones from spigen, bodyguardz, iloom, ect...

What's wrong with the cheap eBay ones.

Yeah nothing like a $50 deductible in place of a $10 screen protector..... Your economic prowess is amazing!

Can't exactly use a screen protector on the back.

I thought it was ridiculous too, but bought one to try it anyway. Installed it tonight and actually like it better than any other plastic screen protector and dare I say, better than the normal glass iPhone screen. The oleophobic coating appears better, it's easier to clean and the smudges that do stick are much less.

So now I'm "one of those people" who fell for the dumb idea of buying glass to protect glass lol

Yeah, I also fell for the ridiculously expensive aluminum home button too, but DAMN my phone looks sweet as hell now! I've always been a sucker for buying cases and other accessories for the phone. I spend (waste?) entirely too much cash on this phone.

If you can spend the $35 and it won't put you in a bad place, I really do recommend buying the glas.tr. But if you honestly can't afford it, no big deal. If you CAN afford it, don't let the price stop you! I do think this screen protector was worth every penny.

First off you probably need to get a better job if your worried about $50. Second the screen is very resistant to scratches, i have had mine since november and the screen is still in perfect condition.

By the way if you believe $50 is a lot of money then you need to go to college and get a degree so you can leave your minimum wage job.
Wow not cool at all.

When it's glass it does. Feels just like not having anything on there.

I don't go SGP as they ripped us all off with the glassT and it's chipped sides then came out with the Tr with the rounded edges to solve the chipping "problem"(should of replaced all the T's with the Tr) I buy the Pure from body guardz, they have a replacement program that lets you replace it for $12 or something like that. Better product and company IMHO.

Even though I'm.in the minority, I firmly believe in buying the super cheap screen protectors from eBay. For the same price as one $30 screen protector, I can get about 50-ish cheap screen protectors (I can generally find packs of five for about $3). That being said, I would be willing to try out a glass one since people who have them really seem to like them.

Ghost Armor

Had full body wrap installed for $40 at mall kiosk. Guy did a perfect installation and it has held up with zero problems for several months. Even the side pieces which I had expected to start peeling off have held up perfectly. None of the orange peel like the Zagg protectors either.

How do you get it on without getting dust under it and causing those air bubbles?

I've noticed dealextreme have a selection of tempered glass ones for ~$10. No reviews, so not sure if anyone's tried them or how good etc. but at least less overpriced.

To avoid dust; steam up a bathroom (high humidity condenses on particles so they're not airborne). As for bubbles; don't worry about them - if there's no contaminates underneath, they'll disperse on their own.

Preach it!!!!

Can't argue with that. Research is important before jumping into any degree.

Finally got my glas.tr on without any dirt under it! Took me about 5 times removing it and washing the dirt under water and then reapplying it but its finally perfect.

Thats one thing thats good about the glas.tr even though the price is high you can remove it wash and reapply until you get it perfect.

My suggestion is a glass one. But if you don't want a glass one, I completely stand behind the SGP Ultra Crystal screen protectors. Amazing.

I normally buy the Spigen screen protectors and have used the Zagg ones in the past. I wasn't going to get Zagg this time due to the rippled look on my outgoing GS3. But I had a GC for BB so I got the front/back 2 piece kit and I actually have to say it looks good. Not sure if they are using a new thicker material or what but it didn't ripple, doesn't look crappy. It was easy to apply.

I generally apply them on the counter in my kitchen because I've found that there isn't as much dust there as there is in other parts of my apartment. So I don't do anything special with regards to dust and I haven't had a problem (though for preventing dust, I like Googlyhead's suggestion from earlier in the thread about using steam to prevent dust from being an issue. I may try that out next time I apply a screen protector). As for how I actually apply them:

I first set my device down flat on the counter and turn it so that I am looking at it in landscape mode. I wipe down the screen with a microfiber cloth, then I start on the applying the screen protector. After I peel off the first layer of plastic (that attaches to the side that sticks to the phone screen), I generally hold it from the longer sides with my thumb on one side, and my index/middle finger on the other (I do this with both hands so that one is closer to the side of the phone with the home button, and the other is closer to the side with the speaker/sensors) and I bend it upward in a "U" shape so that the sticky side is facing down. I then lightly set down the bottom of the bend and align the holes for the home button and the speaker/sensors at the top. Then once those are lined up, I slowly drop the sides down without pressing down on the screen protector so that if I need to reposition it, then I can. I check to see if it looks aligned and readjust if necessary (I can still slide it a tad since I haven't pressed down on it yet), then I start pushing out the air bubbles. I start by using my thumbs in the middle and pushing either toward the edges or toward where the home button/speaker is (whichever is closer to the air bubble). Once I've gotten out as many as I can, if I see anymore, I use the side of a credit card to push the rest out. Then I peel off the top layer of plastic and go about using my device. If there are any super tiny bubbles left, I've found that they generally go away after a day or two of normal usage.

In case any of that isn't clear, let me know and I'll post some photos showing how I do it.
