I've been hearing a replacement is coming soon and the current ones will go on sale soon. Any idea? Thanks!

http://www.microcenter.com/product/480548/105_iPad_Pro_(64GB,_Wi-Fi_Only,_Space_Gray)

MicroCenter has them on sale for $150 off right now for the 64GB version for $499 from $649. They have been at this price for quite some time now and Best Buy will price match them.
That's an awesome price and $50 less than a refurb from Apple (https://www.apple.com/shop/browse/home/specialdeals/ipad/ipad_pro_105/wi_fi).

Problem is Micro Center closed their store in the SF Bay Area (where I'm at) years ago which was about 20 miles from home. Closest store is now 368 miles away (one way). :( When I visit their web site, it says it's available for in-store pickup only. Judging by https://www.bestbuy.com/site/help-t...ee/pcmcat297300050000.c?id=pcmcat297300050000, I doubt they'd be willing to match since Micro Center isn't local to me. :(

Anyone else know of any deals like this?

Congrats! I think I'll wait for update coming in June.
We'll see. WWDC would be a good time to introduce hardware, but as we've seen, sometime Apple just puts out a press release.

Judging by iPad Pro release dates at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_iOS_devices#iPad_Pro, it's not totally clear if there's a specific pattern or interval vs. say iPhone and non-Pro iPads which have more predictable cycles, esp. iPhone.

Judging by Apple's pattern, I suspect an updated iPad Pro 10.5" will probably be ~$649 and will only drive down price of refurbs of the 2017 model. I'm not too keen on paying $649...

Ended up buying the 10.5 & 12.9 iPad Pros's, both with 64GB, through Staple who not only matched, but beat by a few dollars the price at Microcenter. Unfortunately I had to go through Staple's online since the douchey dude at the store wouldn't honor the price after I declined to purchase Apple Care. Paid $484 for the 10.5, $634 for the 12.9.

I got the same price at Staples after PM'ing as well. Did it over online chat for in-store pickup.

Thank you, both! I was able to do the same using chat. It's scheduled for store pickup next Tuesday! Woohoo!

I also got mine (IPP 10.5 64GB) form Microcenter for $499. Great deal and only $70 more than a 2018 iPad with 128 GB (which is too much for me while 32GB is not enough).

Congrats! That was exactly my thinking, too, in deciding to get a 64GB 10.5" IPP. I like the new iPad but for the extra $70, I got the bigger and nicer display and better processor. My previous iPad Air 2 had 128GB but I only used about 30GB. I would have hung on to it but the battery was nearing replacement time and it still had a good turn-in value for a Best Buy gift card...

Is it worth it to get a IPP 10.5 now (~$500) considering there will likely be a new IPP within the next 3 or 4 months? Thoughts.

I personally don't 'need' one now.

Of course, it's a personal decision but I didn't want to bet that the clearance price on this model would be much better than $499 when the new one comes out. In my case, I also considered the trade-in value of my iPad Air 2 will be going down. And, since it will be needing a battery replacement soon (~$100), it made sense to sell my iA2, spend a bit more and get the current IPP 10.5" at this great price. Yes, the new IPP will be better with new bells and whistles but I'm good with this model for probably at least 3 years. I can play with Animojis (sp?) on my iPhone X already so I won't be green with envy if the new IPP has FaceID. :)

I just sold my iPad 4 (from ~2012/2013) so will use that $$$ for a new one. I just know the A11 chip is a big step forward compared to the A10 and since I keep my HW a while, I wanted to make sure I will be getting updates for a good period of time. The price on the IPP10.5 now are very appealing. Update: I am just going to wait for the next IPP after reviewing the benchmark scores between A10 and A11.

Hard to say if an iPad Pro 10.5" update will be coming out in 3 to 4 months. Within a year? Very likely.

Yep. And, given Apple's pricing, I suspect an updated 10.5" iPad Pro will be priced the same as the current ones (https://www.apple.com/ipad/compare/): $649 for wi-fi only 64 gig, $799 for 256 gigs, etc.

$649 is way more than I want to spend on a 64 gig.... I originally was considering the iPad 6th gen 128 gig for $429 but I don't really need 128 gigs of storage but knew 32 gigs would probably be insufficient given I keep my tablets for awhile and for a time, I was down to under 1 gig of free storage on my 32 gig iPad Air.

We only price match if there is a micro center within a reasonable distance unfortunately... sometimes certain managers will allow it, but corporate BBY has been cracking down on this particular price match. Sucks micro center doesn’t allow online orders as my BBY store could then price match them.
This was just an FYI for everyone if your local Best Buy says “no,” (we aren’t being jerks, it’s corporate SOP and some Managers have lost their jobs for price matching these tiny price reductions.) :(

Kallum.

if BB will price match the one local microcenter we have, coupled with a generous $180 trade offer for my 64 gig wifi air 2, then thats a new pro for just $320...tempting

Got Rose Gold, 256GB 10.5" for $675 after taxes. Can't beat brand new, with the option for Applecare+.

I’m not always a fan of eBay, but I scored big time a couple of weeks ago on a brand new iPad 10.5 cellular with 512 GB, including a brand new Apple Smart Cover - for $720. Retail price is $1129, Apple refurb price is $959 before taxes. It’s awesome- using it right now.

Just tried getting Best Buy to price match iPad Pro 256GB WiFi with Microcenter, Walmart, and Slickdeals but they wouldn't budge off price.

Will try later this afternoon and tomorrow morning with a different agent - and also try Staple's.

May look into the eBay options as well.

Where did you get this deal from?

Also not a fan of eBay, but recently picked up my 10.5” 64gb for $351 tax free. Coupled with my purchase of the Smart Keyboard for $61 and Apple Pencil at $49. Total is $461 out the door, granted that is with the 20% off coupon ebay had a few weeks back. For the price, undoubtedly the best iPad I have owned, which has been most of them, just no longer willing to pay full retail as deals pop up more often now if you are patient.
