Also not a fan of eBay, but recently picked up my 10.5” 64gb for $351 tax free. Coupled with my purchase of the Smart Keyboard for $61 and Apple Pencil at $49. Total is $461 out the door, granted that is with the 20% off coupon ebay had a few weeks back. For the price, undoubtedly the best iPad I have owned, which has been most of them, just no longer willing to pay full retail as deals pop up much more if you are patient.

I wonder why the LTE iPads also aren't under a steep discount. Maybe after WWDC, but having the option to use LTE data is nice (I use a prepaid plan for data on my iPad)

Thanks - great info, appreciate it. I don't like paying full retail either especially for the abnormally high prices Apple charges, including every accessory. I figure either look for a good deal now on an iPad Pro - or wait until WWDC when they announce/release the new iPad Pro models at around the current pricing levels.

Just tried getting Best Buy to price match iPad Pro 256GB WiFi with Microcenter, Walmart, and Slickdeals but they wouldn't budge off price.

Will try later this afternoon and tomorrow morning with a different agent - and also try Staple's.

May look into the eBay options as well.

Where did you get this deal from?
If the iPad is shipped and sold by Walmart then they have to match it under BBY SOP policy. Also Microcenter should not be a problem as if it’s within a reasonable distance it’s allowed, also Microcenter price matching option is on our (BBY’s) Point Of Sale check out screens for a reason. Speak to a GM about it and you should get a good deal. I got a 64GB 10.5” Rose Gold Pro for $550, not the worst deal.

Kal.

With Best Buy and Microcenter pricematches, the nearest MC has to be within 20 miles for them to honor it.

From Staples online chat this morning:

"Okay. Please place the order and provide me the order number. I will apply the price match request on my end. Limit 1 item per customer."

"I applied the price match." So Staples provided a price match with Microcenter pricing with no qualms.

Apple iPad Pro 10.5" 256GB Silver (they were out of stock on Space Grey) Total paid was $635.09 with price match!

Appreciate all the good info in this thread - it really helped me.

And of course ...

From Staple's email this afternoon:

We apologize but the following item(s) from your recent Staples order have been delayed for delivery.

Now I have to wait another day. I have the worst luck that way. Asked Staples why and got no explanation.

So what did you pay, including shipping and tax? Did you use gift cards? Isn't the price match for the $649.99 price?

i confirmed over chat a price of 485 for a 64 gig wifi, but when i asked about in store availability she said they dont have any at any local stores. really? must be lots of microcenter price matches happening...

It was 799 minus 163.91, free shipping, tax was 55.93 for total of 691.02.

Original price was 854.93 for a price difference of 163.91. So the discount was 163.91 with a tax refund of 11.47 for a total overall discounted price of 175.38.

Merchandise Total:$799.00
Coupons & Rewards:-$163.91
Shipping:Free
Tax:$55.93
Total:$691.02

I'll know more details after the iPP 10.5 256GB WiFi ships.

Did NOT use any gift cards. You were correct in saying the price match was for the Microcenter price of $649.99.

I received a phone call from Staples after ordering. Voice mail was vague along the lines of the order is on hold. I called them back and it seemed like they just wanted to verify where it was being shipped to (due to package thefts).

I'd specified in my order that it should go to my work since that's safer/more convenient that it going to my home where it might be left and possibly stolen. Or, if it's not left, I have to drive to the shipper's depot to pick it up before they return it.

Anyhow, it's all good now. I received my iPad Pro 10.5".

Thanks. Mine is still processing as of this morning & has not shipped.

The LTE iPads NEVER go on sale. Ever. And the $130 upcharge is also lame in the first place. UGH! :(

From Staples online chat this morning:

"I do see that your order is now preparing for shipment. Once it ships, you will receive an email and that includes the tracking number."

"The tracking information shows your order is scheduled to be delivered on 04/12/2018 between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM."

So I am still awaiting email confirmation of shipping & Staples is probably sick of me bugging them.

B&H has a discount.
10.5: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1342207-REG/apple_mphg2ll_a_10_5_ipad_pro_256gb.html
12.9: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1342547-REG/apple_mpa42ll_a_12_9_ipad_pro_mid.html
Minor, but every bit counts.

Like others have said, Microcenter has some and if you don't have one near you, Staples will pricematch and take an additional 10% off.

Best bet for LTE is Apple refurb store after the new models have been introduced and prices have dropped. It's either that or contract/carrier installment plan.

That's good too, though I'm too young to to buy from a carrier or a payment plan, so I have to pay in full. The refurb idea is good too.

Received an email from Staples from an inquiry I made yesterday re:iPP 10.5" 256GB WiFi order.

I apologize for the confusion. The approval of your price match request delayed shipping of your order by one day.

Your order is scheduled to be delivered to you between the hours of 9AM - 5PM.

• Date – 4/11/2018

• Delivery service – UPS

So the reasoning behind the delay was the approval of the price match according to Staples.

Got mine today. 64GB Wifi for $485 from Staples (price-matched Microcenter). Installed the screen protector and case, paired the Apple Pencil ($93.99 from Best Buy) and restored from my iPad Air 2 backup. This is a sweet tablet even though I've only used it for a few minutes!

Depends on the manager sometimes. It’s a slight grey area for price matching, my managers (GM, ASM, GSM, and Front End Supervisor) all had a long hour or so discussion/debate on what is allowed. Finally they contacted corporate and they said it needs to be in the same state within a reasonable driving distance.

It was a mess of a time, lol.

Finally got shipping information/departure scan from Staples for my price matched iPP 10.6" 256GB WiFi.

I've owned a 1st generation iPad, 2nd generation iPad & the first gen iPad Mini (all of which are no longer being updated by Apple). I held off buying the iPad Pro for quite a while - and figured now was the time to purchase with the price reductions showing up in the market. The upcoming iPad Pro updates probably being announced at WWDC are probably not deal breakers for me & if I decide to go that route - I will give the one just purchased to my wife or daughter and get one!

Even though these are good deals (IMO)... I can't see getting one/refreshing my iPad until we see what happens on June 5th. That's less than eight weeks!
