Wow, it's been a while since I've been to this thread.

Anyway, the aforementioned Riven X has been working pretty well for me on OS X.

I think it now supports most of the original media, but I ended up buying a new copy from GOG since it was pretty cheap anyway and I was too impatient back when it only supported the DVD install.

It's not really an actual port since it doesn't include the game; it's just an app that allows you to use the media from a Windows copy to play it. It does this quite well, though. You do have to either own a copy of the original game or buy it (I think there's a link on his site where to get it cheap and legit) for it to work.

It's been a while since I've used it, though, since Cyan has since ported Myst and Riven to iOS, so I can't comment on any recent developments.

It is an actual native port to OS X, (the programmer reverse engineered the game) just without the data files for obvious legal reasons. I don't think there was ever a Mac-only version Riven--Just Windows and hybrid, so it'll work with any version of Riven you can find.
