So after additional time using the Air 3 I have to say

- I almost never use the pencil
- I ask myself sometimes if the 9.7 screen was the more comfortable screen size? Does anyone has a similar experience that portrait mode was more comfortable on the air2 ?
- using the Air2 now the user experience is still very ok!

So I could have used the Air 2 still without a problem but the battery degraded too much.
I don't use the Pencil much one my 10.5" Pro either, but it's good for highlighting PDF documents.

10.5" is much nicer than 9.7" IMO, esp. for surfing, and it's actually decent for Split View. I do use it mostly propped on a table with the Smart Keyboard though.

I upgraded from the Air 2 to the Air 19 and I do not regret it. The only issue I have is that I wish Apple would have preserved the four speakers from the 10.5 pro as well as pro motion. I have the Smart Keyboard case as well as the pencil and I use both a lot when I switch from taking notes or brainstorming to editing photos, e-mailing, or just consuming media.

There was nothing really wrong with my Air 2, but I do notice a speed difference in some things that I do with the Air 19 over the Air 2.

I don’t know about portrait mode but in landscape when holding a 9.7” iPad with both hands, my thumbs can just about reach the middle of the display.

Couldn’t do that on 10.5 (small hands with short stubby fingers) so I tend to reach for the 9.7 more often.

What scares me the most is screen size, I really do feel 9.7 was the perfect size. I have to use one in the real world to tell the difference though.
