LG has a new line of ERGO Ultrafine monitors. Most reviews are pretty good.

Seems to work great with M1 Macs

Thanks. Can you suggest a model?

For example that model?
LG 27UL550-W
I've been using the LG 27UK850 for some months now and it has been good.
I'm using an M1 Air.
I connect via thunderbolt.
Resolution is set to "looks like" 2560x1440.

That resolution is similar to the Thunderbolt Display I had before and is a good compromise between native 4K where details are too small and pure 2x Retina where the simulated 1080p was too low res. Color, performance and wake behavior have been good. that scaled resolution is pretty much 1.5:1 and gives enough detail without noticeable blurring.

not sure of the difference between their HL and HK lines. This url might show a comparison between them

I have the following 2 monitors and they work flawlessly with M1 MacBook Air/Pro via a single USB-C cable (coming with monitor):

  • Dell U2720Q
  • LG 27UP850
