I hope everybody is enjoying their new iPPs....

Does everything seem fine with your devices? Any hardware issues so far? Keyboard not being flat, screen tint issue, pencil not attaching? etc etc... I never bought any Apple product on day 1 So I guess I am being a bit skeptical about the first batch...

Again I hope everyone received a perfect condition iPP!...

Enjoy..

I ordered the new 12.9" iPad Pro and I have major problems. First of all, I find it incredibly difficult to use. It's almost like it's non-existent. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go back to repeatedly checking the Deliveries app on my iPhone.

No problem with the iPad - it's great! My only problem is with AT&T. Couldn't get my account transferred to the new iPad. I have to go to AT&T tomorrow to get new SIM after a long time on the phone with AT&T.

I have a nice screen, it's even and looks good even with True Tone on. I did see one display model in the store which was dark on one side. I've been lucky with the screens on my devices this year after some problems in the past. The speakers are terrific. Loving it so far. I don't believe the first batch of new devices are any more problematic than those produced later. My worst experience with getting a good screen on an iPad was with the iPad 4 which I purchased 2 months after launch.

Only software quirks. For example, After restoring my iPad, I kept getting the pop up saying I needed to enter my google account password. After pressing settings it would take me to settings screen but the pop up would keep coming up. Wouldn’t let me enter the password.

Solved the issue by deleting my google account info and t
Re-entering it.

I have a feeling its draing battery faster then expected. First our i lost 20% after ~6 hours i were down to less then 50%.
But i also know that i were using the iPad a lot by restoring it, downloading photos, videos, new games, spotify tracks.

Also played a Plage Inc round and a very long hearthstone game, so i feel its a bit to early to judge it.

No issues at all. I have the 12.9 with 256 with keyboard and pencil. This feels like what the IPad should have always been. Nicely done Apple. Like others I am not a fan of the price but I am super pleased with the experience.

Picked up a 12.9 SG today and stayed some time at the store to setup my device. While the restore was still running a found a scratch next to the face id sensors. The employee wasn't able remove the scratch by polishing and found another scratch on the side. Returned the device, unfortunately they were sold out and I cancelled my online order before I went to the store.

11” keyboard folio had a very strong, unpleasant plastic smell when I opened the box but that didn’t last long, thank goodness.

Mine refuses to set up Face ID. It keeps telling me my face isn’t in the frame when my face is the only thing in the frame. I’ve tried raising and lowering , farther and closer. I have a screen protector on, it doesn’t seem to block the camera, but if it is, I’ll just do without Face ID. Mine stays stuck on the square frame. I’ve tried against plain walls and in different lighting. That’s not a big deal to me. The face recognition on my Surface Go has been amazing.

I’m really surprised how much difference the narrower bezels make. The ones on the Mini 4, 9.7 Pro, and 10.5 Pro haven’t bothered me, but this is really slick.

And people on here will be some of the first to get the device on Day One, so not that unreasonable to ask...
hehehe that's exactly why I posted this question here. Also I can't wait any longer (been waiting since WWDC) and I want to buy it ASAP (possibly today)

Yeah I've never done this. I had a Mini 2 with LTE when I was on Verizon, and then went without LTE on my iPad Air 2, and then went back to LTE for my 10.5" but on T-Mobile, and now I'm not sure how to transfer it over. When I wiped my 10.5" last night to give it to my wife it said something about deleting my cellular plan so I told it not to do that so hopefully it can still move over to the new one.

The screen protector may not affect the camera, but it could affect the infrared and dot projector which are the other key components for FaceID. Personally i’d Have tested everything before fitting the screen protector.

Only issue I’ve had so far is when I connected it to my laptop it failed to install the device driver. Rebooting my laptop and trying again. Other than that this device is awesome. Face ID working flawlessly. Screen responsiveness is A+ and it’s blazingly fast.

Not an iPad problem but for some reason I can't login into my youtube account. I click Login but nothing happens. Such has happened other places as well. Maybe a restart.

I chose to apply the screen protector before I ever turned it on. I wanted the screen covered before I touched it. I don’t really care that I can’t use Face ID.

All good here! Got it at 6.01am via DPD and all set up now. No marks, perfect screen and case, all good. Much snappier than my 12.9 gen 1. Really enjoying it. But wallet feels much lighter. With AppleCare and all the accessories it’s nearly £2000 spent (so far).

Unfortunately I have an issue (that I’m struggling to capture on camera). There’s a hairline gap between the edge of the screen and aluminium casing on the top left of the device. This gap isn’t seen on any other edges. Unfortunately this gap has allowed dirt/residue to collect somewhere within production. Incredibly minor but will absolutely exchange in the next couple of weeks.

I picked up my 12.9 this morning, loving it for the most part. The only issue I’ve run into so far is using the iPad with the keyboard. I don’t know if it was prevalent with the previous 12.9s, but tapping on the iPad in keyboard mode causes a lot of sway and it doesn’t feel sturdy. I had a 10.5” before and that was rock solid.

One of the corners of my display seems slightly darker. Anyone else notice something like this? 11 inch Pro.

I do jave an ipp 12.9 first gen

Is there a difference concerning speed, internet browsing and websites reloading?

Thanks
