Well the purported advantage will be to have a 20-40% speed increase over the current 32 bit-Dual Core proccessors.

The speed up is due to the chips being more efficient; Mac OS X is still only 32 bits along with almost all software.

Anyway, I've finally have my Mac mini Core Duo (2GB RAM) on my desk at work. So far I've only done a little Photoshop work, and it works just fine. There is a pause as it starts, and occasionally there is a pause and jerk as I'm using it.

I'm using Photoshop CS. Should be using Illustrator in the next few days.
