iOS 8.4 is the best version since the birth of iOS 8. Pretty happy together with my AW. Amazing battery life

Hmmm, maybe I will update then. My battery has been draining pretty fast lately. Plus a restore and set up as new might do it some good :)

I'm really frustrated right now. Was very stable on 8.1.2 but decided to try 8.4. JB went fine but can't restore from iTunes backup which is a must for me. Never had this problem in all prior JB upgrades. This sucks.

Yes, I had the same problem. iTunes gave me the 'this backup is corrupt or incompatible' error. This thread helped me a lot:

I removed the offending file beforehand with ibackupbot, and then did a full restore.

I just finished updating to 8.4 from 8.1 and it was definitely not worth the time and headaches. Nothing disastrous, but my battery still sucks, wifi still doesn't work right and now I'm stuck with the new Music app and a few other changes that I don't care for.
My advice if you're on the fence: don't bother!
(iPhone 6+)
Update: after using it for a while, I think updating was a good idea. Although it didn't fix my wifi, battery life now seems better, I'm seeing more free RAM in my RAM Widget, and I think it's a bit "snappier" ;-)
