Still sitting here waiting at 1 PM with no iPad. I could have picked it up at 9 am. I think I would have rather dealt with the crowd than playing the waiting game.
 
I'm in the same boat too. I'm really pissed off. I would have much rather gotten up at 6am and drivin to the store and picked up a reserved one. UPS sucks. FedEx wouldn't have this problem.
 
Yeah, me too. For some reason I assumed that UPS would drop it off by noon at the latest, yet it's now almost 2pm here and no truck in sight. I've wasted a whole damn BEAUTIFUL day waiting, when I could have gone to the local Best Buy and been in and out with one with no waiting from what I hear. This is crap. UPS should have planned this A LOT better.
 
I would say have some patience.
Apple guaranteed April 3rd delivery and as far as I can tell its still the 3rd.
I don't UPS guaranteed early morning saturday delivery.
They guaranteed Saturday Delivery- so by there and my standards that gives them 24 hours or to be picky 23:59:59 hours.

I'm pissed as well. Most definitely could have picked up and walked away from a B&M. Now spending all day (Beautiful outside) crammed in my house. HAR HAR HAR for me Wahhhh no UPS and No Ipad F U UPS .

If I'd know I had to wait till Monday for delivery, I would have picked store delivery for sure. Stupid of Apple to pick a Sat. delivery.

I called on Saturday afternoon to find out UPS won't deliver to me on Saturday. AFTER LAUNCH DAY STILL WAITING FOR MY PRE-ORDER! Apple sucks for using non-Saturday delivering POS UPS. Apple owes all of us stuck with Monday deliveries, because they did not tell us up front! Worth the drive and lines at the Apple Store for sure. Heck, even some slackers walked into Best Buy and got one. Will be talking to Apple on my day of vacation I have to take tomorrow because they couldn't get the package delivered on the day they promised. So ticked at Apple...
 
Regrets? YES

If I had known ahead of time that Apple contracted with UPS (all of the products I've ordered in the past have always shipped via Fed Ex). I would have opted for in store pick up.

UPS, as expected, came late . . . . so I really can't say I was really disappointed. They did live up to expectations (based on past experiences).

No more reservations. You can order one online for delivery though. But it'll take a week.

You'll have to go to the Apple Store online to see but I imagine that you can no longer reserve the WiFi model . . . maybe the other one is still accepting reservations.

I believe that was for preorders only. You might be able to purchase online at Best Buy and the use in store pickup. That is if they still have any.

I'm pretty sure it was an option when people originally preordered. I'd imagine many stores are out of stock right now, so I don't think you'd be able to just reserve one and guarantee it'll be in the store tomorrow.

Call your store. I think most have them. Mine had a lot. At least several hours after they opened today, there was no question with supply. YMMV, of course.

I think at this point, it's down to you deal with the store directly, and don't make a reservation online (for a WiFi). I got mine in 20 mins of waiting in line, 3 mins in the store. (Literally.)
 
To answer the original poster: Yes, I am totally ticked off at myself for not reserving for in-store pickup.

Saturday delivery (as it turns out) is not available here in my little town on the coast of Maine, though it is available in the (slightly larger) town next door. So according to the UPS tracking page, my iPad traveled all the way from China to Rockland, Maine -- about 12 miles away -- but then turned around and went back to a dispatch center in Augusta, the state capital. Sometimes the global village can be as aggravating as the literal village where I live.
