Be careful with that. If you have to make a claim, it "COULD" affect your homeowners policy. Not saying it will, but you really have to read through your policy.
no worries, it was totally separate from my homeowners. wasn't even from the same company actually :) came in very useful when my phone fell off my lap on onto the asphalt, cracking the screen when i got out of my car one day :))
 
Yea I went with squaretrade for 3 years. The price is unbeatable and with no deductible it's almost a no brainer.

Good to hear that. Only mentioned it because it was a hot issue in another thread on the same topic.

I went with Safeware. Hope to never need it, but if i do, I hope it works as well as some say. Fingers crossed.

You may want to consider a Valuable Articles Policy or similar product. I have one from Chubb that covers our jewelry, computers, instruments, etc. . it is not part of our homeowners policy, covers all perils (loss/damage/theft/etc), has no deductible and is dirt cheap. I just added my new Macbook Pro ($21/year) and two IPads ($11/year).
