I've got the apple case and screen protector invisible shield from Zagg. The iPad is a fingerprint magnet a lot worse then the iPhone.

I got a 64GB wifi only model and a pay as you go mifi device from 3, I'll mostly be using my iPad at home but have the mifi for those times when I take it out, but the mifi will also work with my laptop when required. When my current 5gb of data runs out I'll buy a new 3 sim off ebay 35 pounds for 12gb for 12 months.

I'm currently undecided which ipad to go for. I would like the option of 3g, although 90% of the time i'll be using wifi at home.

I am interested with this miwi for the iphone although i'm hesitant about jailbreaking it (just 3g version). Has anybody had experience of doing this in the UK and if so, what is it like?

Ok to add...

What accessories have you have? and why? from where?

Where did you buy them? Is there a decent discount at Dixons travel stores in airports? and can you buy on way out then get it delivered to home?

Apple iPad case, iPad dock - worth noting you can't use them both at the same time.

I share the Apple wireless keyboard for my iMac with the iPad for when I need it.

How does that work? if they are both within range?

and do you have to re-sync if you take the KB away with the iPad? And then re-sync to the iMac when you are home?

Both the iPad and the iMac 'remember' the keyboard after the first time it has been paired to either device. After that, you just go to the Bluetooth settings, and the keyboard is listed even if it isn't connected or within range. You just then connect to the keyboard and you're good to go - no re-syncing.

In practise it takes about 10 seconds.

I only do it that way because I don't fancy shelling out £56 for something I already own and will use infrequently.

You can cut out a small notch at the back center of the case to let the case work with the dock.

Whether you're willing to cut a $40 US case... that's another question. Seems strange that Apple would overlook this though...

I have a 16gig WiFi but it's going back tomorrow. Unresponsive touchscreen in Safari. Loved it up until it broke though.

Yep, 16gb Wifi owner here. Got it on pre-order, so arrived the day before official release. Apple case too, which I'm finding pretty useful.

I've got BT total broadband, so I've been using open zone when out and about., as have Wifi at home and work. Am going to see how that goes, am still toying with the idea of Mifi - likely to be using it out and about in July/August so will see how open zone goes and if its not covering most of central Edinburgh, then I'll spring for Mifi.

Finally got round to pairing it up with my BT keyboard today, so am sitting at the kitchen table typing happily away now.....good times.

I am sure you have done this but have you rebooted safari by holding the power button till the slide off screen appears and then hold the home button instead till safari shuts down? Worked for me when safari touch functions stopped.

64GB WiFI only here.

Don't see the point in the 3G version for my use at the moment - iPhone fills that gap. I too think they should do a shared sim deal for iPhone users, but we all know the reason why that hasn't happened.

I have the official case and camera connector kit. The SD card option will be useful and I expect all manor of apps to start taking advantage of the usb port that it also offers.

I am on my second iPad though - first one had to go back due to poor wifi signal drop out. Shall see how the new one goes.

Apart from that - it's all good - the macbook hasn't been out of my work bag at home now, which is what I anticipated and one of the reasons I bought in the first place.

guys, I got pay n go on o2 with unlimited internet. If u put this card into the ipad will u have the net?

A reboot fixed the problem, but only for a few hours. It has returned repeatedly, so I'm going to ask for an exchange. Thanks for the advice though.

I got a 64 3G I need the connectivity for emails etc I don't wanna have to mess around with mywi just to write a quick email etc.

and 64 because I was scared of reaching 32gb of data and running out so just went for it and bought the 64gb and with some pics apps video and music only have 31 gb free :)

I'm in the UK, and got the 32GB 3G model on launch day.

I went for 32GB because I have a 16GB iPhone and it is full to the brim. I went for the 3G because of the GPS and to give me that option of using 3G should I want it. I thought it was worth the extra £100. :)

I got a 32GB 3G and then realised not enough, so now I have a 64GB 3G. I have a lot of music and when travelling wanted to put on a few films. With all my music, videos, four films, 4 TV episodes to watch of Damages, I have about 20GB left, but its comfortable. Absolutely loving it, best thing I have bought in ages.

64GB 3G went with 3 for data and been impressed better than O2 on my iPhone. Had a 16GB iPhone never used much more than 10GB already used 25 GB on iPad !

32gb with 3G for me. I had planned on the wifi only version but Currys only had the 3G version so that was it. I've not regretted it, and am using an O2 pay as you go sim which is pretty good value to me as it seems to cover 24 hours from purchase not up to midnight a some vendors do...

No plans for gadgets at the moment except the camera adaptor I picked up in the cardiff apple store yesterday and a decent case for my birthday.

Oh, and I may just ditch my iphone and get something that actually works to make calls. I love it to bits for all the mobile Internet stuff but it's **** for making and receiving calls.

I've also got a 32gb 3G, I find I use the 3G a lot, and i've also got over 16gb of apps and three movies on there. For size, I think it's worth considering that iPad apps take more storage space than iPhone apps.

I plan to use the GPS, but at the moment I don't have a car, and i can't fit it on my motorbike...

I got the 32GB WiFi and Apple Case (pre-ordered) and just recently bought the camera connection kit from the Apple store. Like many others on here I don't need the 3G or GPS since I have my iphone 3GS jailbroken running MyWi if I ever need connectivity. The camera connection kit is great...managed to get it to read from my USB stick too (using iFile on mynjailbroken iPad)
