You ain't kiddin'. This is an elaborate story woven around trying to spoof one of the most legitimately useful anti-theft features of iDevices, and every suggestion provided here short of actually spoofing FMiPhone is shot down by the OP.

So this is too late for you but anyone that needs help with this issue listen up. LocationFaker from Cydis DOES work. I repeat DOES work. I thought that it didn't at first but I discovered that after you enable/disable the spoofer, you must re-boot your phone, and then it will activate. After this I was able to go wherever I wanted whilst my parents believed I was at home or at a friends house. Hope this helps anyone that also has overbearing parents...parents that fight to control their kids always lose thank you technology

Okay dont start trolling here please, I usually have nothing to hide and from my parents but now I do. I am shopping around to buy a house, but I dont want them to know right now unfortunately my mom uses the find my iphone app a lot. If she see's me at weird places shes gonna start asking questions. Does anybody know a way to fake the mobileme location?

Disabling it would be too easy, and shes not stupid she would ask questions too. lol please help me, I want it to show as if I am at work, when it fact I'm shopping around for houses.

Put your phone into airplane mode and then turn on wifi. It will show you offline when she tries to search for you. It will just give her your last known location. Once you are done house shopping, then turn off airplane mode. It will now show where u are.
Or, change the iTunes password while out and change it back when you are done. She will just get an unsuccessful log in then.

if you won a bit of money, buy yourself your own phone. leave moms tracking phone at work (connected to Wifi) if that where you should be, take your sim with you in your own phone...job done then?

I know this is like 2 years old, but I would very much like this hack now! Could you provide more detailed instructions on how to go about this. Does my phone need to be jailbroken? It isn't right now, but I don't mind doing that. Thanks so much!

You can do it via jailbreaking or you can leave your iPhone where you're supposed to be.

How long has that been available and how trustworthy is/was it back then?

It has been possible via jailbreak for almost 10 years now. It is fairly trustworth and it works when it is used.
