just a tip, when you're in google you can search for "define: bto"
or define: whatever_you_want
and it will show you what it means from many different sources
I understand apple not supporting bluray, but they should support HD movies, since they have a movie store in itunes. In extend, they should support 3d when it becomes popular enough, for the reason that many new movies are released in 3d, and they should sell them

First, the only appreciable place 3D content exists is on Blu-Ray. Looks like there are about 60-100 3D Blu-Ray movies available. Apple doesn't support Blu-Ray at all. That would be the most logical way to get 3D content as it already exists in a widely available format there.
Second, the "HD" content on iTunes is 720p and badly compressed; no comparison to Blu-Ray's high bitrate 1080p video and lossless sound.
If Apple doesn't care about presenting movies in 2D in their best possible quality, they certainly don't give a rat's ass about 3D in any form.
Apple just doesn't care about high end media consumption any more; it's all about the lowest common denominator on the iTunes movie store. 3D has even less chance than Blu-Ray of ever appearing on a Mac.
