With True Tone on, my 11 Pro has a strong cool peachy amber tone in ambient lighting that comes from my windows and sunlight. At night, under my recessed LED and incandescent kitchen lights the display is a very nice paper white.
I leave the True Tone on because it’s easy on my eyes for reading.
I was not able to use True Tone at all on an iPhone X that I had. I can’t remember if I used it on my XS Max.
I was not able to keep those phones because the pwm implementation on them caused a flicker that set off severe migraines.
I’m pretty comfortable so far on this display but waiting to see if any problems crop up.
With True Tone off the display is a cool pure white.
I notice no off axis color shift in either my display or my husband’s Pro Max display this time. Last time there was definitely an issue with that.
