There is a perk to being broke! I knew there had to be one :p

I'm not as excited about my camera connector that is coming as i was when i ordered it... My children can't figure out where the heck they left my camera that will work with it. I'm not a happy camper over that to say the least.

But we don't seem to have extra stuff laying around we aren't using at this point. The dock isn't used much, but it was bought for a specific need and it works for that.

Another perk is that we just can't wander into a store and buy stuff because we have nothing close by. Out of sight out of mind right?

But i do appreciate everyone sharing their experiences with the stuff out there, it helps me greatly to make decisions before buying anything!

I still am on the hunt for THE CASE for me, nothing is grabbing me yet.....

Like nixiemaiden, I fell into the trap of buying a bunch of "must have now!" accessories and regretted it. I do like some things I bought, some I don't use, and some I bought knowing ahead of time that they were luxuries, not necessities. That's hardly Apple's fault.

I choose to blame apple anyway. If they would just release a crappy product that nobody wanted to make accessories for I wouldn't be tempted in the first place!

LMAO! I concede, you are correct. It's clearly Apple's fault! :D

I spent £20 on a switcheasy nude for my iPad. And maybe £20 on apps.

And what kind of person would spend 29€ on a screen protector? Many cases include them for free.

The iPad does have a clock, at least the 3G version does, I'm looking at it at the top of the screen as I type this from my iPad. On my 3G iPad, the clock sets automagically and resets when I change time zones. Need more functionality than that? Download an app.

And no, the iPad DOES NOT need a screen protector. I don't have one, have never used one, and the iPad goes with me almost everywhere. No special treatment, no pampering, no special cleaning cloths, and no scratches. I sometimes wipe the thing off, usually with my shirt, and the screen is still perfect. Perhaps you WANT a screen protector, but honestly you don't NEED a screen protector.

I feel like I got what I expected to get from the iPad. I knew from the beginning that i would have to spend money to do more stuff with it. Just like a computer, I can expand functionality by purchasing more software (apps). I have so far spent about $3 on apps, and those have been disappointments. The free stuff has been much less disappointing.

I mostly use Internet, mail, maps, weather bug, calendar, contacts, remote, photos and a handful of news apps. I'm sure there is a whole lot more I can do with it. I feel like we've only scratched the surface as far as what this device is capable of.

Okay on the app point you brought up, the iPad has no clock. I had to spend something trivial like £1.79 (my itunes account is in the UK) to get clock pro HD. I can see that it is possible to live without it, this is a fact. However this is very basic functionality that I find a little bit ridiculous that it isn't a feature inclusive of the core OS.

This I don't mind as I really think the app I purchased is good. It blows Apple's clock out of the water in terms of looks and usability. However it is limited because the timer and alarm can't be used as the app has to be open for those to work. So even though I had to pay extra for it, it still can not do what an iPod touch can do for less.

The iPad is supposedly designed for people on the move such as travelers. No world clock included for free, really? The iPhone which undoubtedly is the flagship product has it included. The iPod touch which is arguably a bit lower on the totem pole still includes that functionality.

As far as the screen protector goes this is necessary even if Apple doesn't admit it. They really love their screens to double as mirrors. The glass does scratch but maybe not as risky as an iPhone because it doesn't go into your pocket and as such care is much easier.

I guess I feel that the iPad is okay but it is like being nickled and dimed to death on trivial stuff.

I know this poll is also a bit skewed but I didn't have enough options to add in different currencies. So if the main poll isn't suitable for you then refrain from voting and just give your two cents or opinion here.

Yeah I can't argue with you on the clock feature, should be a no brainer. The screen saver I still think is useless in terms of protection, especially if you have a case. But if you are using it for the glare then I totally see your point.
