Seeing as huge phones are what alot of people like these days anybody been temtped by this who like the HTC design? it's 1080P screen afterall nd has the option for an SD card too. Anybody had a look at it in store or gone for it?
The reviews thus far seems to query why HTC tinkered with an amazing product.
The One was fantastic, but the Max apparently isn't as good. I certainly don't think it makes sense.

There are elements to the Max that I really like. They moved the power/wake button to the right side and added an SD card slot. Apparently from reviews the front speakers are even louder than the original One.
Simple question must be answered when considering the Max. Can you live with such a large and heavy phone? The thing is a tank. If your answer to that question is 'yes' then I think you should maybe get it.
I wish the One had the power button on the side too.
Anybody been tempted by the HTC one max?
Note 3 is already a big device. The Max is even bigger.. but without any special features that utilizes that screen or set it apart from the HTC One.

The Note does count...it is a larger version of the Galaxy S4 only with added functionality added to enhance using the larger screen. Why does everyone care so much about the Max not having any added features? I can't think of any phone that's a larger version of another that has added features. The Note doesn't count, it's a separate line from the S series. I liked the HTC One a lot and I think the Max is awesome.

Just like the Max is pretty identical to the One...the Note3 and S4 are pretty identical. The Note just adds enhancements to use that large screen. The Max just by the sheer size and weight is by definition a phablet. The Note is a different phone line though, it is NOT an S4. HTC never claimed the Max added anything new, its just a One for people who want a larger screen. Just like the iPad mini is an iPad with a smaller screen. The Max doesn't need anything added to it, its not supposed to be a phablet.

And that's where it fails.
I dont disagree but what would you want? The minute HTC added a stylus and new software to take advantage of it, everyone would start crying about how they are copying Samsung
Maybe...but they should have something else besides size that enhances the product features. The One is a great phone.......so expectations were the phablet version would add features. But it does not....then add it the fact that it is quite heavy......the design that made the One feel premium...works against it at the larger size.
Yeah it makes no sense that they just made it bigger. Doesn't look like they bothered much.
