Anybody Playing My Town 2?

Just an update, I am putting together a complete directory of all the forum players, which will include posting names, town names and Booyah ID. It requires going page by page and I am halfway down. Will be complete tonight and posted on MT2 Pro Boards.

Land issue...ugh, I can't complain enough. The level cap and business cap are bad enough, but those take time to fix and program. Adding land is far less cumbersome. I guess they want to do it all in a mega update. :(

Btw, as to the new wonder phrased as a COIN increase over INCOME...I tend up think it's choice 1, ie a purposeful language shift. Maybe players were getting confused and just saying coins is more clear? I don't think it's choice 3, ie some inconsistency they failed to pick up on. As for choice 2, that was really meant to give everyone a good laugh. There will never be a bucks-producing building, even though that would be crazy cool.

EDIT: Anybody think the land expansion might come tomorrow? Last one was Jan. 19th...tomorrow is Feb. 19th...just saying...

As to the new VIP theater wonder, I think I didn't care too much what's the wording Booyah used. It works just the same, and I have built 15 of it stacking these instead of the SE wonder to get more coins.

Wow. Thank u for posting all the players & ids!!! That's a lot of work! Make sure u post a link for people to get to... Even tho' I've been reading this board when it was 2 pages for ages,!! I still miss things :)

Also. I know a lot of people r trying to get as many if the VIP items thus weekend, I'm wondering if the weekend special only applies to the "free" double coin special... It would make sense the VIP special last through the Oscars next wkend...

That said, I am embarrased how much time I've spent yesterday tap, tap, tapping away to get more coins... I'm pretty much doing it the old fashioned way,,, my 4 SE's aren't getting me much extra, lol! (I've got 153,000 is all!!)
But have bought all the new stuff (coins).


That said, I got 5 bucks in doing "errands" yesterday! A nice surprise!!

Well... Thank you! Yes, I bought at least one of everything - and now I'm replacing a lot of it because I sold off as much as I could to put in the SE's. I have a LOT of work yet. But I've also got to get some knitting done and sent off. So I curled up on the buffalo robe, put on a "Married With Children" marathon, got halfway through it, and fell asleep. Argh! An hour later, I'm awake again. Back to knitting... and then more work on building.

I've been spying on you, too. You've got quite the town going! I wish they would offer the zoo or Golden Gate Park as items. Such good memories of my childhood...

#####Keeping premium upgrades on loophole..

#####So I tried something new last night.. and I think it worked!:eek: I have been trying to keep all my stores remodeled to the premium skins so that those of you newer people trying to save the 20 green bucks could get the premium skin free with a franchise.. But I need it to be set to office to collect the big coinage from the stock exchanges ..sooo I made sure all the premium upgrades were on.. and then I set the 10 hour job and before I went to bed..clicked the edit button and left it open to that page.. When I turned it on this morning and it "resumed" it was still on the "edit" page so I clicked the paintbrush and switched them over to offices.. Then when I hit the green check mark it went over to the gold coins page and voila ..they were all the huge numbers..even though a bunch of you franchised me for coins last night getting the upgrades free.. :):):) I know some people won't care, but those of us who like our business's to look pretty..it only takes a min..lol! ;) Happy Saturday everyone.. :);):D

PRIORITY ITEMS (TOP 5 MOST POPULAR SUGGESTIONS):

2. More Land beyond 7x7!

3. Warehouse - To store purchased items which are still retrievable for later use.

4. ATM exchanges COINS to BUCKS

5. Easier to get BUCKS. (See below for suggestions on this).

BUCKS/INCOME/COINS:

1. Give more bucks on the daily lotto for every day a player logs in - max 5 bucks a day or increased beyond the 5-day limit.

2. Reduce price of Wonders and some of the Decorations/Store Items.

3. Reduce the cost of Premium Upgrade Looks to 3-5 Bucks. 20 is too expensive for each remodeling.

4. Have a Bucks OR Coins option when buying new Businesses. For instance, buy Disneyland for 6000bucks/6000000 coins.

5. Lower the price of land/lot. If people don't have the money to expand, they will lose interest in the game.

GENERAL WISHLIST ITEMS:

1. Move the Business Level “Upgrade” button off of the job timer list and onto the Stats page. (Almost everyone has accidentally hit the Upgrade button while trying to hit the “10 Hour” button and unintentionally wasted 50-80 Bucks)

2. Would like to be able to buy discontinued items from neighbors, i.e Halloween, Thanksgiving

3. Add a “Completed Goals” list.

4. When collecting Revenue, please make the coins and stars fly away faster. They can get in the way and have caused incorrect tapping.

5. Please fix the missing character feature, e.g., Valentine Cupid Fountain - not everyone is receiving the flying cupid in their towns or others that are missing are the sedans and pickup trucks.

6. Real storefronts for big name partners.

7. More cities from around the world

SOCIAL:

1. Increase number of Daily Gifts from 5 to 10, 15 or more.

2. Add the ability to search by Town Name.

3. When visiting Friends' towns, show the distance to that town. (Miles are now shown on the flags when using the "Explore" function but not for the "Friends".)

4. Towns names and #'s together on signs

5. Pop ups or somehow have the ability to communicate with mayors of other towns. Similar to the functionality in the original MyTown game.

6. Be able to alphabetize Friends' towns, by name

NEW ITEM SUGGESTIONS:

1. Add some cats in the towns. There are currently dogs, but no cats.

2. Add more types of homes to choose from - Plantations (with wrought iron victorian fences)
or purchase the wrought iron fences.

3. Ambulance hall and fire station, with fire truck and ambulance coming out of the bay doors.

4. Like to see an "air ambulance" you can purchase and have it fly to hospital to drop off patient. Maybe send that helicopter to someone else’s town to drop off a patient so their "hospital" could collect the "bill" money.......something like that.

5. Like to be able to purchase oil wells, different types of "classic cars", gas stations, fish store with "live aquarium of top. neat interactive car wash with cars coming in and out of the car wash that looks like a silver pail with bubbles rolling off the top, candle store, a pond with a fishing dock .

6. Surprise birthday gift to gamers who are playing and having a birthday, C/O Booyah.

7. Make the business offices look a little less "outer space".

8. Let use have a screen where we can customize color of the 3 and "premium " office buildings.

9. Football field, roller skating rink, pool. Upgrade the "casino" wonder. I don’t think I saw over 2 anywhere in the towns I was in. Fishing tackle store with a Muskee sitting on top of the store. Look at Haywood, Wis. World’s largest fishing museum.

10. Some kind of slot machines that would pay out COINS.

11. Be able to make and personalize your own street signs and then buy them.

12. Put in parking meters and collect then collect the "rent" coins.

13. Virtual town clock that keeps working time. We have one in our town. AND IT CHIMES ON THE HOUR.......THAT WOULD BE NICE!!!!!!! Make that affordable, please.

14. A floating fish/seafood restaurant. We have one here on the river. Packed 7 days a week

Solsville, thanks for doing this. Can you add to the social, a log for everyone whom has gifted you, with date/time, and the ability to visit their towns. Also, one for people whom you have gifted with same features. It would help keep track and reciprocate with friends. :)

I have 3 minutes, 15, 1hr, and 4 hrs. Live in the U.S. Started playing around a month ago. Would love the other time features. 4 hours for night jobs is a horrible waste.

So exciting!

LOL. I haven't been on here in a few days, because I'm trying to bank coins and continue my hyper expansion of land and businesses. The population thing was starting to bug me, and the green bucks are scarce, for quicker returns. But very grateful to Candy Land, and a couple of others who seem to kick in when I'm almost tapped out!!! :D

So I was accumulating a ton of garbage, like dozens of subway stations, and farms. Now I saw the VIP updates, and I'm so happy. Thanks to you guys on here, I will now replace the ugly things with the VIP statues till something better comes out, maybe some spotlights. And I'm going to start exchanging some high rise condos for the new, glitzy, high-pop ones :) Kind of changes the look of my town from New England, to Miami.... But that's where I live. Haha

What I have been noticing.... And it's very shocking, is that the popularity on some of these businesses is dropping incredibly low! The giant names, are rapidly approaching the popularity of small local bussinesses. It's getting hard to find anything with popularity over 50K any more. Barracuda pointed out some good ones, and some towns to check out, but I think I already have a lot of the top ones. If anyone knows anything left, between 50-100K popularity, that I don't already have, let me know and I'll franchise it from you (in coins, of course :-()

p.s. I have a list of everyone who has sent me gifts. It's going to take me a while to get everyone back, but I will. I think half must be random (I suggest you park your town in San Francisco, for random gifts), and not from this forum.... I can tell, because they are gifting things like checkins, 2x bolts, and stars!!!! (level 50 for almost a month).

My ipod now has the "white screen of death". It won't power down regardless of either one or both power or home buttons are pressed. The only thing anyone has suggested is to wait until the charge exhausts itself and see what happens next. The warranty is expired so I'm on my own. I am so p_ssed.

Does anyone have other ideas what I can do?

And I didn't backup my game the last thing yesterday night so I don't know how much will be lost. :eek: Does Booyah back up the information?

TY BB for doing this it would be so much easier to find someone from this forum. My town is open for visitor again especially for business franchising with green buck:D:D:D. I did a lot of remodeling not quite done yet but i'm almost there and no more SE except one i'm happy with 500 million, also the cops will be so happy at my town (CHECK IT OUT :D:D:D)

Just keep trying to hold home and power to reset, I've seen it before where it didn't reset until they were held for like a minute. Just hold them both and pray for an apple logo. Hold them as long as you possibly can. Good-luck
 
Dying iPod Started Again...

Thanks to GraceGirl for your post and to Dhelsdon for your suggestion.

In case anyone else encounters something similar to what happened to my iPod and a white screen that won't power down: I left it alone and after 3.5 hours, the charge ran out and it powered down completely. I waited about 30 minutes and it powered up just fine. I backed it up on iTunes.

The iPod has been acting badly for about a month so I have no doubt it will need to be replaced very soon. But this time I'm going to an iPad; its hardware should be more robust and be able to take the sustained use that gaming requires.
 
i hate how my town looks. i'm changing it the second more land comes.

One of my biggest gripes with MT2 is the lack of an inventory box. You would think that at a minimum we would be able to move placed objects off-screen for re-arrangement. Pretty amazing that the game has been out 4 months and nothing has been implemented.

Surely Booyah must be aware of the problem.

I had a hell of a time re-arranging thing to accommodate VIP items and I know others are struggling. Help us out, Booyah.

hi guys

as u all know and are probably tired of reading this, i was saving for mixer bar haha. so i was keeping statistics everyday about the changes in its price. i was checking its price a moment ago and i noticed that for the first time in days, it went up. today in the evening (it's midnight here) it was 7275 bucks from where i live. and now it's 7284 bucks. i'm thinking its population went up as well but i wasn't keeping scores on that one. but this may be a sign that our businesses' populations are coming back, or coming up to be correct :)

i'll check back in a couple of hours if i don't fall asleep.

Thought I would post in to check on whats news. I was unable to do any my town 2 for several hours last night, trying to upgrade router only to find out router wont bother connecting to the internet, so back to the old one. Then was able ot get on but kind of late. Im a West Coast time person so :) Was able to enjoy looking at alot of people's town, wow my town is a mess, I will have to get busy redoing them when I get my lands cleared tonight.

Licat, you will love the ipad, just remember you will probably start over from scratch, with a new booyahID. At least you will get to do it totally and utterly different, and see many new quests that I bet were never there before.

Barracuda, that would be awesome to see the list of who is who, I have been writing down who is who, and checking their towns, and if theres anything I could franchise in coins, I have done so.

The VIP stuff has really made the game look much nicer, over half of my high rise condo has been removed in favor of the Luxury appartments.
Still working to save up lots of coins as well so I can cut half the SE down and exhange my offices to something more prettier later :D

Good evening to everyone!!!!!!! Gosh I miss y'all !!! Licat it's time to get down to serious typing. I too have the black iPod holder due to kids. I took it out of case to do serious typing.... :)

Want to cordially invite EVERYONE to now look at my town that I have just finished 2 days ago.... The VIP things came out and I have added a few misplaced items till the new land comes out. I already have my town somewhat planned out in my head.......I AM SO PROUD of my town I just sit back and grin and it is ALl THANKS to EVERYONE here that made that possible.........SO......everyone just right now just pat yourselves on the back foa a job well done helping our community. I think Booyah just outta just give all of the mayors are towns "a free Oscar" worth something to show their appreciation.

Well today I turned off my app to change locations and I went back to reinstall my game to another location........DIDNT HAPPEN...... The place I was I found out had a block on the "games" and I couldn't reconnect up to my town 2. So, I went 5 hours before I could get somewhere to get Internet......FYI..........
