I love the iPhone, but may switch to Verizon when my contract is up, just can't take the crappy service, dropped calls, in and out signal etc anymore. I hope the iPhone goes to VZ, if not, maybe one of their new soon to be released android phones can hold me over.

I have both and I hate using the Blackberry OS.

same here - my bb is a curve 8320, fwiw.

I use a BB Curve as my work phone and an iPhone for personal. They are very different devices. The Curve is great for email and texting and IMing are fine as well. Awful if you do anything else. The iPhone while not as strong in email is a far superior device for the non-business user.

With all of that, let me say this.

If my company would let me I would use my iPhone for work in a heart beat. It is that much better.

Yes, that's why I have the bb too (work won't let me use the iphone). I don't find the curve great for pretty much anything though (except security... which is why IT makes me keep it). Even email and texting are slower than on the iphone.

sorry like i said before. i kept both my devices the curve and now iphone. curve using the BIS is kick ass for me. need my emails asafp!!

Um... iphone can push email too?

However, I'd like to throw in an iPod Touch (2G or 3G) into the equation:

Besides of the inconvenience of carrying two devices instead of one, would any combination of a smartphone + iPod Touch give you a better over all experience or not?

That's kinda a big "besides." The whole reason I got an iphone to begin with was so I wouldn't have to carry an ipod and a phone. But even forgetting about that, what would be the advantage? What could you do with a touch + smartphone that would make it superior to just an iphone? All I can think of is better battery life.

Hi, I've been using an iPhone 3G for about 18 months now and I'm considering swapping it for a blackberry curve instead of a 3GS...

main reasons being I'm bored of the iPhone now and tbh I need the function of bb messenger, was just wondering if anybody has got rid of their iPhone and then regretted doing so?

Ask this question in a BB forum and I'm sure you'll get different answers.

bottom line, different strokes for different folks.

When the iphone originally came out, i had a european N95. there was so much buzz for the iphone, i told my self i might as well give it a try.

I had the iphone for about 1 month. the honey moon ended when i realize i could do absolutely nothing on it other than check the weath, stock and cruise the internet very sloooowly.

I gave it to my girlfriend. bought an NAM N95 8GB and used it for quite some time. i switched MANY smartphones until the 3GS came out.

As soon as i saw the 3GS in action, i pre ordered, and never looked back.
