Other Anyone buying iPhone now before the event?

The pro is already €250 and the air €400 under Apples prices from 3rd party resellers. If history repeats they will just fall even more when new models arrive
 
If anyone is interested in an iPhone 17 or Air buy it now as their prices will almost certainly increase after the event. Im going to monitor the Air actually on Amazon UK, if it drops to £699-749, i might pull the trigger.

I did a few weeks ago. I had an Apple Gift card of like $600 and no interest in spending $1300-$1400 for a pro iPhone. $1100 was fine. For the 17 pro even tho I find it ugly.

Yeah but there is no history with tech and the Ai craze rn. With the price hikes and companies like MSI going back to DDR4 for example. The iPhone 18 pro driving factor for the price hikes has to do with the Ai boom and maybe to a slight extent then current political climate.
 
I'd say no phone is worth 1.300$, not even the iPhone, but then again, every year it sells like hot cakes, so even at 1.400$ the base Pro might sell a lot.

It's just nuts. Too much money for a phone with just 15% improvements over the previous generation (CPU 2nm, smaller dynamic island, better battery life, etc). Very small improvements for a 1.300$ phone.

Lots of people live on credit, so numbers pale against desire--until they desire to stop handing all their money over to creditors.

This year's iphones look like every year's iphones to me: boring. Keep the one you have until it dies.
 
Still rocking our two iPhone13minis and no plans to change. Small consideration to upgrading the M4 Mac mini to an M6 however given trade-in values. Just don’t need a later iPhone.

I agree but u have to keep in mind that many buy with contract and monthly payments are usually subsidized. And a smartphone is the most used device by far in a household. Thats why people are buying

I usually buy used for about half the price.
