They're streaming it at 256k, which to be quite honest is not needed. It's excessive and a total overkill for streaming and internet radio.. they should at least make the standard load a lower quality and give you the option to switch things up.

As for those not digging the whole styles of the presenters (more importantly Zane) are just experiencing a different culture of radio. Zane made a leading signature at BBC R1, and you need to understand it before criticizing it. As to those seeing a lot of similarities between Beats 1 & Radio 1, that's purely down to Zane carrying his curation and style across. The only time in recent days R1 sounded anything close to similar was during the hours Zane was on air.. now that he's left and R1 can fulfill their changes that need to be implemented (forced by the BBC Trust) you'll hardly spot any similarities.
Actually I did a test. I listened to the radio on 3g and in one hour it used between 48 and 54 mbs which means that you can listen everyday for one hour and in one week you use only 350 mbs and one month you use about 1.5 gig of your data give or take which I find pretty reasonable.

I love it. Within couple of hours I found some amazing songs, that I would never find by myself.

Julie Adenuga just played a track that I liked. I did a search (David Zowie, House Every Weekend) and it wasn't on Apple Music. It was only available to purchase on the iTunes Store.

It was on Spotify though.... A lot of us are on the fence Apple, don't push it.

Is this because it isn't released until the 5th July? Shows on iTunes as a pre-order here in the UK. Maybe Spotify has a licencing deal with that publisher for pre-release?

I freaking love Beats radio, i've been playing it for almost 6 hours straight

Me too! Beats 1 is killing it! Really excited that there's this whole new global station that's going to evolve; they play a great mix of different tunes and love the DJ's to give it that human element.

I streamed it all the way into work today and was sad I couldn't listen to it at work as the 4G craps out just outside my work and goes to the slowest 3G data speeds I've ever known :(
