You all have an iPhone? If so, why do you need an app.... You DO have interwebs on the phone just go to the "real" facebook site. Just a thought.

Man, what about Facebook on the go! Or if you're in your house and too lazy to grab the Macbook or go to your desktop. iPhones and iPod Touches are perfect for this. Who could ask for more?

My son recently got a facebook account, so I got one as well to monitor him.

Ew, have some trust in your son.

Also I don't have a facebook account, but lots of people I know tell me to get one (Also people I met online playing games, ect). I might end up making one just really to talk to some people I haven't seen in a while.

Ew, have some trust in your son.

Ditto. If there's something your son doesn't want you to see, you won't see it. And, it's not like you can even see everything. His friends probably limit what you can see on his wall (posted pictures, etc.) as can he.

Anyways, yeah, I can't believe they posted about this app a month ago, and still nothing. I do have to wonder if the App Store Police have anything to do with it. Then again, the guy said he's repost when the app is submitted.

Whatever happened to MySpace..:D
anyways yeah I'm super excited mine is being a total dick to me. I can rarely post comments without saying "Error Posting Comment." I get that 75% of the time. =[

I'm extremely interested in the new Facebook app. The current version is mediocre at best, but based on what I've seen, the upcoming release looks fantastic.

I've been following the developer's Twitter page to get more consistent updates on the status of its release. From what it looks like, it could be submitted to Apple any day now.

What's sad is that none of the three mobile-tuned versions of Facebook work perfectly. As the result, I have to use all three to satisfy my needs - Facebook App, Facebook Mobile (m.facebook.com) and Facebook iPhone (iphone.facebook.com).

That said, I don't miss Facebook App all that much. I can get by pretty much all the time with Facebook Mobile.

If Facebook is your way of always being in touch, if that person drops dead will they be able to post that in Facebook?

Edit: Facebook is not social interaction its social laziness cause you never have to get up of your ass and go visit that person.

Really? So when I was able to get back in touch with people who I had lost contact with years ago, we where being "lazy asses". When we get together several times a year (we are separated by ~200 miles), we're being "lazy asses"? When we now talk daily now through FB, well you get the picture.

If you don't like something, fine. Just say hey I don't like that, but to make up excuses why you don't like it is kind of silly. Or maybe it's just that I hate generalizations.

Ugh, Facebook is so overrated. And those stupid app requests. I only use the web version use it to keep in touch with people. I rather call or text if I'm going to use my phone.

The developer Joe Hewitt posted on his Twitter last night that the app is done. They are currently translating it into different languages then it will be submitted to the app store, so I'm guessing we'll see it by the middle of this coming week.
