I bought mine two weeks ago. I was not planing on keeping them just wanted to try them out. Even my wife said you aren’t really going to spend 550 on headphones are you? Once I put them on and listened to the first song I said wow I might have to keep these. Gave them to my wife and said check this out, after listening she looked at me and said you need to keep them 😂. Besides listening to them everyday I have also switched to Tidal music the sound quality is significantly better then Apple Music or Spotify. If you haven’t listen to music from Tidal it would be worth giving it a go, sign up for the free trial you might be surprised! Great headphones, great surprise, dollars are worth the price of admission.

Wait, you told your wife?! I haven’t bought a pair yet but when I do I’ll have to hide them from my wife for months

Always happens to me whenever I get new headphones to add to my collection. It's the current favourite especially to see how it sounds with your music library.

So it's the go to headphone for now until it's not...

Yeah I listen to a lot more music. I had my Sony’s for almost 2 years, used them a lot during my commutes to work pre-Covid, but didn’t use them much when I was home. Even at the start of Covid, they barely got any use. So once I started working from home, I barely used them.

But the APM, over a month of owning them, I’ve barely gone a day without listening to music. The sound is so great, I can’t stop using them. I will say this though.

Today was my first day using them outside, and I noticed that the noise canceling is a slight bit less than the Sony’s. And as I’ve stated before, the Sony’s are also louder. So I was able to hear outdoor noise more than with the APM’s. With the Sony’s, I don’t hear squat with the noise canceling on. With the APM’s, I was hearing some traffic noise of cars driving by me as I walked around.

BUT, the sound quality over the Sony’s was noticeable THE SECOND I put them on when I received them. It’s just fantastic. The soundstage is incredible. I listen to music from every decade from the 1960’s to the 2020’s, and man, it’s like listening to it for the first time. I felt that way when I got the Sony’s a couple of years ago, but you can tell a big difference when you listen to the APMs. Therefore, I listen to music a lot more often.

And THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is what it’s all about. This alone is worth the price of admission.

Did you mean... that people are perhaps more likely to spend money on Apple Music following purchase of these headphones?

That was my lightbulb moment reading the thread. Good work, Apple.

(Sorry - just envious; not a product I'll ever afford to buy.)

I wouldn't say I'm listening to music more. I'm definitely more comfortable keeping the headphones on my head for hours while i transition from conference calls, youtube and music. Since the transparency mode is so good, i just watch tv while wearing my airpods because sometimes i'll have a phone call.

one thing is for sure, i have been using my other headphones alot less. been getting my money's worth. They just need to fix the damn battery drain.

Gotta justify the costs right ? I’m sure I’d be trying to listen more just so I feel better about it.

I do listen to more music, but I'm finding them better for movies and shows! I have to say that the headphones do deep rumbling bass so well that they're competing with my soundbar. The soundbar has a very good standalone sub-woofer that can shake windows. I'm hearing rumbling undertones in background music in TV shows during tense scenes that I wasn't aware of before with headphones.

I actually got a couple of high heart rate notifications on my watch when watching an episode of Suits the other day. That's never happened before. I don't know how to feel about the headphones playing with my emotions like that 😅

And this is on my Windows laptop with SBC and stereo. Not even spatial audio or iOS.

But would you keep listening with it if you don't like what you hear? Or you're just gonna return it and get full refund?

I haven’t really increased listening to music as I play a lot of music regardless but I’m finding them very useful for watching movies with Apple TV

I can’t say I listen to music more, but I do use these much more often than my APPs - part of that is the battery life, it’s awesome to basically not have to think about that during the course of a day… I use them for all my work calls now and gaming and music and so on - they’re just all-around great I’ve found

I suppose I am actually. Ordinarily I would be listening to music all day long as I work, but as my working days often start around 3am as I can’t sleep, the music doesn’t come until later.

With the wife working from home now and more so since I finished her craft room, where she’s working from now, and is next door to my office. My normal music habits have been interrupted - apparently both the music and myself are too loud.

Yes I have AirPods, AirPods Pro, Beats Studio 3 wireless, Sony XM4 and others, along with wired cans. None have been employed much in use during the early hours, or my ‘noisy’ periods. Especially the buds, I can’t wear in-ears for very long without irritation.

But since getting the APM, that has changed. I find them extremely comfortable to wear for extended periods. I’m sure it must be down to the shape of my head, I can think of no other logical reason why much heavier cans are giving me less grief than lighter ones. It helps, of course, that the cups completely fit over my ears, which isn’t always the case with headphones for me.

Then there’s the Transparency, which lets me hear the dog when she wants out through the night, and lets me hear the door during the day for deliveries.

The simple and quick switching between my Mac, iPhone and iPad is also a godsend. No more faffing about pairing and unpairing, or having to manually tap a button to connect (oh the hardships ;) )

And of course, most importantly of all - the sound, which I quite liked to begin with, but love now that they are run-in. Even Apple Music sounds listenable enough with them.

They’re most certainly not my favourite cans, or best sounding for that matter.
But they have reasonably quickly become my favourite wireless ones. The ‘new toy’ factor has long since worn off and yet, I like them more than I did, not less.

I bought a pair for some weird reason. Not really needed since I have a pair of APP.
I do listen to music every day 2 hours an average but I don’t know how long will this last :)

One thing bothers me terribly: the weight. I literally feel my neck tired after I take them off.
Sound quality - well I wasn’t blown away.
But after I went back to Airpods Pro I realized the difference.
I would never wear these outdoors, I think APPs are way more convenient, comfortable and easy to deal with.
ApM are good for my home and maybe on a plane or a long journey when I need to block out the noise.

i listened to some samples on Tidal but did not notice any difference. Perhaps I need to connect them to jack instead of Bluetooth.

I will try using the ligting to jack (mother) - this one came with iPhone 7 I believe - with an audio cable to see if it works.
I refuse to pay that insane price for the ligting to jack cable.

Been around 2 months and I find them to be money well spent. I can’t blast my HomePods at max volume all the time and these give me bliss without disturbing others. My AirPods Pro have not been used in a long time, and I gave away my momentum TW
