I was away from home for 30 minutes and, of course, UPS tried to deliver. I returned to find the UPS sticky note on my front door. "Signature Required. Tried to deliver. Will try again on 9/22". Usually the email from UPS states "Signature Required" when needed but not this time. I will have to sit tight on Monday. Had the shipment notice from UPS indicated " Signature Required", I would not have left the house.
Same thing happened to me while I was at work. I even chatted with Apple support and they confirmed signature was not required or requested by Apple. Usually if it is, Apple will send you a form you can hang on the door, or you can pre-release from the UPS website. None of those options were available, since a signature wasn't required. I did talk to the UPS driver through my doorbell, and he basically said "it's a package from Apple and requires a signature."

I spent 3 hours on the phone trying to get hold for pick up and finally got apple to do it, but now my phone says rescheduled for delivery tomorrow. I am assuming my hold is going to over take it though and i won't get it.

Good chance will be delayed by another day for the hold. I made this mistake the year mine got delayed, but I ended up able to call the substation where the trucks come from and they loaded it back on the truck.

Mine has apparently been misplaced. Apple said they know it was released to UPS for shipping on 9/18 but UPS claims Apple has not released it. The tracking label was created on 9/15, but UPS has no other scans and cannot provide a delivery date.

Just got a scan now at 4:25 Eastern that says SATURDAY DELIVERY HAS BEEN REQUESTED/DELIVERY WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY

Well damn!! LOL. Lets see if they load it up in the morning.
I just checked and got the same update as you a short time ago.

Well, I am totally bummed.

I do this every year, and without fail my phone has always shown up on Launch Day. This year, My phone arrived into the Charlotte UPS Delivering Hub at 5:23am, but never went out for delivery.

Shows will be delivered by 7pm, BUT it was never put on the truck for delivery, Last scan was at 5:23am when it arrived.

My watch delivered by UPS today, but I was so excited for my Cosmic Orange Pro Max and at this point who knows when it will deliver :(

Apple said I have to wait until after the date passes for them to help.
I order my iPhone 17 pro max and my wife’s 17 pro max. Hers came yesterday and I had to leave work to sign for it. My was delayed and ups still has not info. They were ordered together

AirPods hopefully delivering today. Decided to go to the store (madhouse) to get the phone and not deal with delivery

My Airpods UPS tracking finally updated this morning after 2 days of silence. One of the updates late last night 9/19 "Saturday delivery has been requested. / Delivery will be rescheduled for Saturday."

4AM this morning saw the package finally moving "Departed from Facility" and now "Processing at UPS Facility" as of 10am... crossing fingers.

Good luck and hope the delivery arrives for you. I got the same update but I still have no scans from UPS. I’m not holding my breath for mine as I believe UPS has lost my phone somewhere.

Still NOT out out for delivery and speaking to non US support who refuses to care or contact my hub makes it more frustrating

UPS is notorious for “misplacing” packages.

I get a monthly delivery of workout supplements, on at least 3 occasions, UPS, did not deliver. One time, it reached my local sorting center, and then was shipped clear across the country. Fortunately, for me, the company that provides the supplements has excellent customer service. They replaced the “misplaced” package. Meanwhile, UPS just responds with stale, empty, scripted corporate apologies. No real attempt to rectify the situation.

I get that everyone makes mistakes, and that some packages fall through cracks, unfortunately, but the blasé attitude their customer service takes is quite displeasing.

That’s what pisses me off, this morning the guy at UPS says he sees it’s getting loaded and will be out for delivery. 2 hours later I call the next person says it’s not even at the hub (which I can see it is) and says it definitely is not delivering today and probably not the next business day and to call Apple.

The use of outsourcing for service is terrible, the ones you speak to have zero care and they all refuse to call the hub to “try” and actually help

Launch day is always so busy. Ups & FedEx are overloaded im sure. One year I waited a couple of months after launch to get a secure delivery and possibly a better iPhone. It seems the first batch off the assembly line were manufactured to quickly with less QC. Sometimes it's best to wait, that's not great advice for most people, but the stress isn't there.
